Not only that, but at some point you have to ask yourself, will all the power be of any value on the street? With street tires? It would be pretty emparrassing if someone spent 60-70k on a 700 hp supercar only to get drug in a roll race BY A RICER that only spent 10K (including his turbo) from 30-60 mph because the 700 hp Dodge could not get traction. At some point these hp numbers become just bragging rights or maybe just ego. I'll pass...I'd rather have something that actually gets it done on the street, and doesn't cost a 401k account to drive it.

The fact is that the Hellicat, either Charger or Challenger is competition for the Corvette. $60-65k gets you a loaded 707hp Hellicat while in the C7 you get a decent optioned 400 something HP C7. Corvette does handle better but also has only 2 seats. Hellicat is quicker in a straight line. Plus with the C7 motor and other issues GM might have some issues in the future.

GM is falling behind quick, oh here comes the C7 Z06 for about $90-100k, that is Viper money or close to it.

In the end the Hellicat is extremely fast great bang for the buck transportation. Yes, a modified 4 banger may beat it. But that is comparing apples to oranges. Stock vs stock there isn't much to match it. GM sells the top Camaro with a measly 550 hp for $60k.

I'll take the C7 Z06 over the Viper all day everyday.

Very good looking sedan. So mean looking when they have the rear wing and those lights. But no manual, I don't get it if the Challenger Hellcat has it.

All depends if they can fix the engine problems. There seems to be a decent amount of C6 427s and new C7s with engine problems. These days you can find sedans that are near as quick if not faster as either car for around the same price especially on roads that are not dry and warm.

Don't tempt me
