Most seem to really like it as the tone is the way the car feels to drive compared to the outgoing model is excellent. Some note the 200lb increased weight does take some away from the new suspension and dynamics, still much improved dynamically from current gen.
Surprising to me was the slight decrease in straight line speed in 0-60 and 1/4. Even with added weight, I'd have thought surely with new traction management (also thought it was getting a power bump) it would be quicker to 60 and in the 1/4. I had hoped the stang would have been like the c6-c7 in everything got better plus an increase in speed. I'd be upset if I was one looking at the v6 because they actually de tuned the engine, however slightly it tells me intentions of ford. Watching an interview I laughed when an engineer said 'we added weight in the right places' jave not seen it in person but on the big screen, some color/wheel combos look really nice. The turbo doesn't seem like a great car to take to the drag strip with its trap speed at 97/98 mph. Some said the turbo suffers a bit after midrange and noted the drop in tq at the top end

Le Mans Master
From the entry level through the standard GT (5.0) edition, mustangs do not matter much on a corvette "only" forum, (maybe on a Camaro forum)?
However, when the new GT 350 comes out with an 8000 RPM motor and 600HP, wait and see how some loyalists here will discount a $25 large price difference just to be at the top of some (very few) spec numbers whose differences are within a fraction of a second.
I am still waiting for the next Ford GT, until then it appears Ford is making good progress with what they have already come up with.

Ford has had their act together for some time now. Each new generation of Mustang has narrowed the gap and in some areas has even surpassed the Corvette. The fastest 2013 GT500 1/4 time is 11.25 stock. That is freaking fast right out of the box stock. Look at some of the track records and you will see just how well Ford has improved on the Mustang.

Melting Slicks
The new styling looks strange to me (the combination of the blunt front end and sloping rear). Interior looks ok. I'm really sick of the new corporate front end (aka the rip off Aston Martin grill). I prefer the 2014 model, its a much better looking car.

Something about the car just seems off to me. The side profile looks good from the door forward, but the rear is just awkward. Also not a fan of the rear diffusor with the black plastic in between. The interior is also a little pickup truck like with the huge door handles and large plastic center console/cup holders. At least they kept the old fashion parking brake.
I also find the reviews somewhat comical. The solid rear end used to be a non-issue until now. Don't know how many reviews over the years played it off, but now make it sound like it was trash.

Just here to say that I knew the GT V8 model wouldn't drop the rumored 400lbs. It gained weight as expected. Much closer to the 5th Gen in weight now, see what GM does with the ATS/CTS platformed 6th Gen.
As stated, the styling does nothing for me, but then again no Mustang has since 1970. As for the flat-plane rumor, Ford wants an astronomical amount of money for the engine alone. It would more than double the cost of the Mustang so I can't see them using it in a high volume production car.
