I traded a Camaro 2SS 1LE on a 15 C7. The 1LE was an amazing car for the money and I hated to part with it.

I would take a new Z/28 over a base C7 Stingray all day long....what a great car!

I'm curious as to where that information is coming from. I honestly don't know, so I"m not calling you out, just curious. It is a very limited production car and usually there are enough rich car nuts who will buy something like that just to add to their collection. Collectors with money don't care if it's a stripped out Camaro or not, they just want it for collectabilty and bragging rights to their car buddies - especially when it starts winning all sorts of accolades.

Update to this post - I may have to eat crow on this one. While I cannot confirm the discounts, I just went to cars.com and there ARE a lot of them in stock, including one at the dealer I have bought 17 cars from (six Corvettes). I may have to try to get up there and see what the interest level has been on the car.

Somehow I didn't think they would make anywhere near that many. I guess they had more LS7s sitting around than they knew what to do with. If they get down to about $45,000 I'll buy one

U can't afford even one at that price. Hang it up Schindler ('s).. you're STILL not on the "LIST."

Hey, that was uncalled for

I still have a nice car and some nice bikes. And even two and a half years after selling my Z06 I'm still checking the forum every day.

Z28 is nice, but I'd never trade my C7 for one. If I ever traded my C7 for one, every friend, relative and neighbor of mine would wonder what I started smokin'.

I'm betting those limited production Z28's will change hands for big money in 20 - 30 years. Mark my words!

LOL, it's the wife's car.

And it has more HP and torque than the C7 parked next to it.

Local dealer had one. It only sold after they marked it down $6500.

The Z51 does have a faster time at Laguna Seca.

$6500? Six and half Grand? Or $65,000?

$6500 can only be interpreted one way, unless I've been missing something. But, it was 6 grand, 500 dollars off msrp.

I don't mind the Camaro Z28, but almost $80 grand for one with AC and a radio? The base car is $23K. So carbon brakes, re-tuned suspension, race seats and the large engine account for almost sixty grand? I have a feeling the profit alone on that car is $20-30K.

Some retard putting on a Z28 for that amount doesn't mean anything. I can put up a Ford Pinto for $1,000,000 too.

http://www.motortrend.com/features/p...t_r_nismo.html

Motortrend finally admits the NISMO and 91 octane:

The lackluster straight-line gravitas was most likely because of the 91 octane fuel we were forced to use; the Nismo is tuned for 93 and above.

With all due respect to the Z28, in about a year it will be as passé as a 2013 C6 ZR1 is right now, once the brand spankin' new generation Camaro is released.

(No more than 5 Posts from now)
