I am in an agreement here. I don't understand how the track ready car with basically no options can be so expensive. Couldn't upgrade to equivalent parts and install a LS7 in a base model and get close to the same performance for about half the cost? The only difference would be weight.

Let's see if I understand this. 2014 is the year GM comes out with the new C7 Corvette. By most accounts it is the best Corvette ever and the flagship sports car of GM. The Z51 equipped model seems to take most magazines by storm as a great sports car. GM says it's the best handling and stiffest Corvette ever. Motor Trend has two BMW models in the line up to test. Camaro Z28 wins but..........there is no Corvette even entered? What am I missing here?
