OT: NEW Dodge Viper ACR
New Dodge Viper ACR Concept Officially Previewed
Dodge has just released a selection of images of the brand new Dodge Viper ACR Concept set to debut at SEMA 2014. Set to preview a future range-topping variation of the latest-generation Viper, the ACR Concept actually looks production ready.
The Dodge Viper ACR Concept features a selection of aerodynamic changes and improvements to provide additional downforce. At the rear, it features a large carbon fibre rear wing while at the front, a new splitter has been added alongside prominent canards. Elsewhere, a set of blacked out 19-inch alloy wheels have been added.
Elsewhere, new 15.4-inch carbon ceramic discs with six-piston Brembo calipers have been added. New air ducts have also been included just behind the windows to cool the rear differential while also adding an extra menacing sentiment to the car.

Wow another car to add to my list of candidate vehicles, C7 Z06, Porsche GT3 RS or Viper ACR.
Of course minus the fact that the front splitter doesn't look too street friendly.

$110 may be where the ACR stickers.
The wing is functional (see the C7R)...it's a car for maximum downforce.

Not a dam of all the wings....although I'm. Sure some would say they are awesome.

That car certainly puts down huge amount of downforce.
Anyone complaining never actually drove a car (or formula car) with real working aerodynamics or they wouldn't complain. Downforce is wonderful on a track!

For the Viper to survive, Dodge needs to put out something that MORE people can buy and drive as much as possible as a daily, not this "race" car. How many more sales can Dodge generate to keep the snake alive by releasing this? This is strictly a halo version of an already pretty limited car. Exclusivity can kill a car if not done right.

They already do...

If it where just about selling & profit this new more expensive ACR model that cost millions to develop would not exist.
Viper never sold Corvette numbers and never will. Same as their other small division called Ferrari.
