Latest project - Yes it's a V8, no not a vette
People love them or hate them. I've always loved them.
I've had several old vettes over the years and decided to try something different this time. Picked up a 1984 Porsche 928S 5 speed earlier this year
It's a specialty car that was built by DP Motorsports back in the 80's. DP used to build cars for racing teams including the DP935 that won Le man back in 79.
It's a bit obnoxious with the wide flares and all and is definitely a project, but I love it. Still a lot of work to do, but it's coming along. In the process now of completing a supercharger install along with fitment of new 18" rims. The 295/50/15 tires are very hard to come by now so I'm going with a set of 18" rims for more choices on tires.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Known history is that the car was bought from Porsche and sent directly to DP Motorsports for the conversation. Right after completion an exotic car importer from Austin, TX saw it on the road in Germany and bought it from the owner then brought it to the US. He had it 20+ years. It supposedly went to a guy in San Antonio after that. I found it sitting at a little tote the note lot in SA earlier this year in need of a lot of TLC, but with only 51K miles. While the paint and body look pretty good in the pics there are small stress marks, etc. that will have to be dealt with. I am also thinking of removing the strakes, but keeping the vents. They are actually functional and provide air to the rear brakes.
Working through all of the mechanical items first then on to the body and paint. So far I've fixed an exhaust leak, replaced the clutch, fuel lines, ignition wires, front wiring harness, AC compressor, etc. and pulled a ton of junk wiring including an old alarm system and more. Working through the supercharger now and new set of RH rims. The original RIMS are RSR's, plan to save those for another day.
Here's a video of me test driving the car before buying it in San Antonio.

Thanks everyone!! Here's some dash cam video taking it out today for a short ride to check on the super charger install. Still have some items to cover, but running strong as expected.

Yep, I bought the silver one December of 2013. It's a 1989 928 S4 with an auto transmission. I came across the 84 around March / April.
I try to always be on the lookout for cars that I can pickup and play with for a few years then turn a small profit, before moving on to something else. I's worked out well so far.
