Resto-Mod as a daily Driver

Given your location I don't see why it would be an issue. Something with a nice LSx, fuel injected setup, air conditioning, nice comfortable interior, etc......
I would never attempt to drive something like that year round here in the Chicagoland area.

The 308 supercharger is about to be installed. You can follow it here.

A Resto Mod would make the PERFECT daily driver in FLA, do it, you live once, don't even hesitate!

Im putting the finishing touches on my 65 and it will be a daily driver. The ride height is set high while it is being finished.
The fun in a resto mod is being able to choose all the components to go into your car. Here is a list of components I chose:
SBC 427 with 8 stack efi, 565hp moving to 650-700 later.
T56 Magnum
Baer 6P brakes with hydro boost
18x12 rear tires with Michelin PS2s
18x10 fronts with same tires
ISIS wiring system with Dakota digital dash
Street Shop chassis
I also have a 68 for my next project and had a short stroke BBC built with 800hp, lol The 68 will be a much cheaper car to build as I bought a no hit rolling chassis for $2500.
It is possible to build a resto mod for a similar price to a high end new car. Good luck with your decision!

Not sure if I have a true 'resto mod', but is is restored, and heavily modified, though somewhat stock appearing. Been daily driving is for the past few weeks, giving the Z06 a break to sleep under cover in the garage. Runs mid 10's in full street trim, gets 20+ mpg on the highway. It has alky injection to be able to always run pump 93.
