Really doesn't matter. The C7.5 would be out before this thing hits the market.

I'm going to make prediction:

-Turbocharged ("EcoBeast") version of flat-plane crank motor found in the new Mustang GT350
-dual clutch transmission (no TORQUE CONVERTERS HERE....GM, are you paying attention?)
-3400 lbs
-635hp/580 ft.lb torque at minimum
-carbon ceramic brakes
-magneto-rheological suspension

They're not gunning for the Z06, they're gunning for the TBD C7 ZR1 - and it will probably eat it and spit it out just the same.

$165,000 - and they'll sell every single one of them.

EDIT - just saw those pictures. HOLY $$$$. They're not gunning for the ZR1, they're gunning for the P1.

Live is over. Didn't see the pics on the jalopnik link.

Edit: They did say its coming with a DCT, not a manual. I'm thinking its going to be $150k+ 3.8L ecoboost TT, 600hp. (more may be)

I don't think so. The so-called "Zora" isn't near as ready for production as is the Ford.

Wow. If they keep the price tag at $150k or less, I think I'm in. Otherwise I'll be buying the Z06.

Agreed. I'd sell my Z06 in a heartbeat if I could afford it. That price is probably out of my range though.

Doubt it; severe underdog unless they have some trick electric setup under their sleeve.

Stating they're going for (and will beat) the C7ZR1 when that car or its specs haven't even been released yet is like 3 inception levels of hypotheticals. . .

If the past is a guide I wouldn't panic. The last Ford GT was as fast as the Z06 but not as fast as the ZR1.

Looks wild. I like it but it all depends what price point this is going to be.
It looks real expensive.
