Wow, that is fantastic. The trans, color, options and condition, best GTO I can recall.

There's a Pontiac specific website; I thinks it called Performance Years. He might have better luck posting it for sale over there. Very nice car BTW; good luck with the sale.

Please don't throw stones ,but I think he is at least 15k to high..
The color option ,and it looks like no power steering or brakes ?
might appeal to a smaller group.
I AM NOT BASHING ..I have restored many Chevelles ,442's,Blazers,
and the market is still low right now.Hope I am wrong...GOOD LUCK

thanks for all the compliments he really appreciates them. I agree the market is soft this car will be going to the Harrisburg PA Mecum auction if not sold by then. due to it being one of those cars that is so person specific.
this car took first place at the lime rock park concours. may not be pebble beach but that should give you an idea on how nice the car is.
again just trying to get the word out

You are right about a certain person for a car to sell .
I posted for reference only a Grecian Green 68/ss396.Chevelle.numbers matching bench seat , column shift ect on Chevelle Forum and I got a buyer from Australia and he was going to have that car no matter what. I did not even post for sale ..ITS GONE

Thanks for the pics and sharing. I'm in the a tad too high camp. Best place is to do the professional auction with a $750 fee to have it presented.

Doesnt hurt to start high someone may "just have to have it".
Not like you can run out and get one on the corner
Market has softened but a quality car still brings money
Had my Camino on ebay awhile back for 40k...could not believe the interest it got. For a lousy mulletmobile (albeit real nice)
Glad it didnt sell!
Love seeing a clean original over an overrestored car like yours they just got a certain look that cannot be duplicated period.

I love Pontiacs, having owned several, over the years, and think this GTO looks great. Just to clarify, however, I don't you can say "not restored" about a car that has a rebuilt engine, and has been repainted....

GTO's never made it out of the 60's without the engine being rebuilt the technology wasn't there to last like they last now.
Carburetors being what they were, less than great oil, took out those engines a long time ago, a 389 built today might last with a better fueling system.
That is a fine example of a GTO, if it does retain the original sheet metal, it's even better yet.

the way I look at it is the original #'s motor was rebuilt which is something that could have happened back in the day. Motor was built to full factory spec. The only reason it was repainted was to fix the rock chips and minor imperfections in the paint. this car never had rust and is all original sheet metal. my eyes that's not a restoration that's a freshen up. now if I tried calling this a survivor then I think id have a few disagree. but this car is very close to that IMO.
thanks for all the great feed back keep it coming. anyone needing more info on the car just ask for my cousins contact info via PM. there is a lot I don't know about the car just helping get the word out about it.

Nice car. It has been partially restored but priced as unrestored original....imo
Good luck and as a first gen GTO lover it is a great example of a basically unmolested goat..
I've happily owned three 65's in my life and really love the 64-67's...
