So this system has been in the works for awhile and as of yesterday we finally got the news that it will be offered as a Tomball Dodge/Viper Exchange installed option! That's right a 900hp PD Blower Viper LOL. (Edited out warranty although I would expect something from the installing dealer).

Good thing the bolton Vipers are running so well as is, can't wait to get this thing strapped down and ready to run.

I live just a few miles from Tomball Dodge so I will be all over the updates as they start to install a few.

When Chevy drop's a supercharger on a Corvette, you get 650 HP. When SRT drops a supercharger on a Viper, you get 900 HP. Ok, just a jab in good fun..

I also wonder how much they want for the 700 and 900 HP upgrade. Couldn't find that.

There is no warranty that I am aware of. That being said, the fact that SRT and Arrow Racing had their hand in the development of these packages means there will be a degree of OEM polish/reliability rarely seen from the aftermarket. These players know all the strengths and weaknesses of the platform.

I'm just glad Dodge has the foresight to put in forged pistons and rods. Not having to work the bottom end saves a ton of money.

I was doing some random research and I found out that for every GEN V Viper on the road, there is 36 Corvettes based off of yearly sales numbers...

You can get stupid power when you start with 512 cubes. Also the blower chosen for the viper is much larger. You know that 6 lbs of boost for 900 hp is not going to be enough for some. Some will want a built motor (maybe it is already?), transmission, rear end, larger fuel lines, etc etc. You can look for 1500+ hp packages in the future.

I doubt that those interested in the SC package are overly concerned with warranties and such. If I had kept my Gen 5 (had it for one year), I would be more interested in the all motor 733 hp package, although the stock 640 hp was more than enough for my driving level.

sure there is, theyre called superchargers and turbo's...and theyre might fine replacements at that...

On a side note, 900 is great for serious power hungry crazies but for me, it will just make the snake harder in doing what its most fun to do...have at it.

Plus Im not giving up my warranty...
