LaFerrari 1/4 mile in 9.6 @ 157 mph, P1 1/4 mile 9.8 @ 148.9 mph

That said - even if what is stated is correct by the two of you - the P1 is a very similar car - and 8 MPH with 50 more HP and being 100 lbs lighter is a HUGE trap speed difference (especially at this power level).
It may be nitpicky - but I would say 152 MPH is more likely (about 2-4 MPH difference at the very best) for the Laferrari - or the test was off for one of them.

I understand the gearing point - but GTR's have LC, TC, and E diffs. Aero - will not be beneficial to a 1/4 mile or longer run and would need to be turned off.

Lol. In the end of the day - they are all very fast cars.
Once we start getting into mid 160 MPH plus traps - you are talking very very fast cars. As AMS put together this side by side video of an Alpha 12 versus Agera R driven by the crazy Russians from Dragtimes;

At first I thought there is no way this is possible - but running the numbers through my brain in relation to modified GTR's (as it is my only common frame of reference for trap speeds and ET's etc.) - I think it may in fact be possible - even the One:1 claims of high 160's (I don't think low 170's though).
The One:1 is 1348 KG - or just under 3000 lbs. It has 1348 HP.
GTR's are about 1000 lbs heavier. Many state each 10 lbs lost is 1 HP of additional power gained. Making the extra HP about 100 for the One:1.
That's ~1450 HP all together.
An Alpha 12 is about 1250 awhp on average (of course there are higher numbers as you can tune to the ragged edge for that one pass to get that ET and MPH)...
With 15% drivetrain loss that is ~1470 HP. A12's trap 165 MPH on average (162-167) - highest ever was 170 MPH.
So that works.
They are mid 8 second cars.
The Laferrari is about 950 HP with a "dry" weight of 1255 KG. That said C&D place the actual weight at 3200 lbs. IF that HP rating is accurate and isn't understated - this number doesn't seem to work for me.
the extra 800 lbs = 80 additional HP to a similar GTR. so 1030 HP.
A GTR would need to dyno about 880 awhp for ~1035 HP.
I would say that most GTR's in that awhp range will trap 150-152 MPH at the most - on average in the very high 140's and low low 150's.
156 MPH is usually in the 1000 awhp range.
Of course I can't say for sure - but the P1 is 3300 lbs with 903 claimed HP. So 100 lbs heavier and with 47 less HP.
Even giving the Laferrari the additional HP for the weight difference - the Laferrari is only 60 HP up - with a claimed almost 8 MPH trap difference, it seems too much to me.

I have no doubt the One:1 will be much faster than the Agera R - which to my understanding is faster than any of the new HyperCars to 300 KM/hr (15ish seconds). Apparently the One:1 can hit 250 MPH in 20 seconds - which would be both a record and insanely fast if true.

Mega performance doesn't automatically exclude good looks. The Laferrari and P1 are some pretty amazing fast cars and look the part.
Even Koeningseegege previous and slower cars aren't very attractive. Must be a Swedish thing.
