1953 Ford F100. Traded a family member a car trailer for it.

How it is today.

The orange '72 was my first car. Got it at age 15.

Actually my second car. I designed and built it myself in 1958, and it was the world's fastest and quickest unblown gasser, and first in the eights on gas.

Mine was a '72 Grand Prix SJ with a 455. My dad bought it new when I was 6 months old and gave it to me to drive when I was 16.

67 SS 350 Camaro. 4-spd, no power steering/brakes/anything. It had been repo'd and had 6000 miles in 18 mos. $900. Learned damn near everything in that car. "Thee" Ed Hill?

Default Nader's nightmare!

My first car was a 1966 Corvair Corsa convertible with the 140 HP flat six and a four speed. Fun and somehow I survived!

1986 Camry with 2 cylinders running at 130 psi

Parents had it since I was 11. Remember watching the Vanishing Point, drooling over the white Challenger, thinking, damn, I doubt our car could do that! lol

Always knew it was slow, but when I got my license in winter of '01, I found out just how slow it really was.

1986 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 hatch, 5 spd manual.
First year for fuel injection and building on the hope for more performance to come...

Wow, after the '73 oil crisis and '79 energy crisis, look where we are today!

Like the OP and a few others, mine was a 1986 Monte Carlo SS, burgundy/burgundy hard top. Now I'm in the process of looking for another one as a new project.

That makes two of us. Mine was set up the same and was orange with the black hockey stick stripe.
I loved that car until the front tire came off while I was doing about 50 MPH! I think I paid $200 bucks for it.

First car was a 48 chevy fleetline coupe at 13 I didn't drive so I cleaned it up nice then sold it for a nice profit.

That car started a long line of buying and selling that I still do today.

It took me another 5 years to buy my first corvette which was a 60.
