FS: AZ: 1961 Chevy Impala Bubbletop 348 Tri-Power
Price drop to 39k! My business partner and I have our eyes on another vehicle and would like to move as soon as possible!
Helping another buddy of mine list his vehicle. Contact me at (480) 335-7449, my name is Chris, and I'll gladly answer any questions I can. More pictures upon request.
RUST FREE, SUPER STRAIGHT! Arizona car, purchased brand new in Arizona in 1961!!!
Vin # 11837S223867 1837 Impala 2 Door Sport Coupe V8
348/340hp Tri-Power 3x2 Carbs.,
4 Speed Borg Warner T10 Transmission
9" Ford Rear-End
Cowl Tag:
See pictures of trim tag itself!
Engine #'s:
Casting dates:
Block #A 22 59
Heads: #A 24 59 or #A 28 59
Pad #TI28H
(As I said quite a few of these engines were used for truck applications back in the day. At a later point they were rebuilt with new pistons, rods, cam & etc.)
Casting # @ rear of block GM3.
Roman Red Paint w/Red & White Interior
The car is a True "W" car! Meaning for those who are not familiar with the term "W Car", a real deal 348 or 409 authentic car!!! As most of you may know this is very rare, especially along with it being a "1961 Bubbletop" on top it!
Tubular A-Arm's, & some additional upgraded suspension. (I have several original parts such as factory A-Arm's and additional misc. items.)
*After market tires & wheels:
Michelin HydroEdge P225/55/R17's w/ 17" American Racing Wheels
Restored 5 years ago to better than factory new. Paint is incredible, the bright red paint looks a mile deep! The interior is just as nice! The car is straight as an arrow! You won't find any nicer Impala period! The undercarriage looks as good as the top of the of the car. I saw a couple of Impala's go through Barrett-Jackson, 1 for $59,000 and another for $70,000. This car is just as nice as the $70k car and better than the car that brought $59k. Needless to say, no auction fee's or taxes.
I am extremely critical & have a great eye with a strong attension to detail. I don't anything. If I had to rate this car, on a scale of 1-10, I rate this car an strong 8.5+!
General Information & Spec's:
The higher horsepower engines were equipped with dual point distributors, improved head's and 2 1/2"exhaust. The carter AFB was also introduced and used on the 320hp.
By 1961, the horsepower was still growing. Now available were the 340hp and the 350hp 348's. This year would mark the birth of the famed 409 engine.''

Thank you! She is absolutely beautiful, if this was a numbers matching car I would easily see this car bringing $75k+ during the Scottsdale Auction week. These Bubbletop Impala's are such an iconic looking vehicle.
Price drop, $43kobo. She's ready to move.
