I agree that something isn't right with this car on this particular day.
660rwhp regardless of aero drag, at 3550+ driver, will still run 135mph or so. Point is... on _this_ particular pass, it wasn't making 660rwhp.
Formato has run 140mph with ~675-700rwhp I believe in a C7Z.
I do believe there is a lot more to tuning these cars so they perform _off the dyno, and on the street_ than in previous models. What exactly? I'm not sure. But I think there are some ECU parameters that are tougher to work around with this model, and the ECU is pulling power on both stock and modded cars.
Time will tell. So far, things aren't looking great.

the more I see this car the more I don't like it, I will never get over the rear end, and at the end of the day, like all, the others it looks no different (actually worse) than the base model.
People trying to defend it with the 1000's of excuses, ignoring the obvious faults of the car , make me like it even less.
The ZR1 kicked azz and took names, this car has yet to beat anything , they won't even post ring times for it(even though I couod car less about ring times) but it just shows that this car missed the mark, ther is no excuse for it, anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial.
The road coarse car is going to perform better at a drag strip , as the aero is a non factor in the 1/4.
Usually a car grows on me, the C7 has done the opposite .
That time would be very good for a stock car, I really wanted to like this car, maybe I'll get back in a vette whe the C8 comes out, but most likely stay with viper, I like having a rare car that you don't see on every street corner , and the G5 is such a well built car, with a great aftermarket, something it hasn't had for a while.
