Default Viper GTC one of one

I think that is a pretty cool idea and I wouldn't mind going that route if I bought one.
What's your opinion, car model aside, from such approach?

Edit:
apparently this is a 0$ cost: "yes, that includes any and all paint, interior, and wheel selections, so you won't have to worry about the price ballooning simply because of the custom look you choose"

I am planning on doing it with 2016 MY. My 14 GTS has been fantastic so I am waiting to see if there will be any performance upgrade option.

I question the $0 paint upgrade you mention though as in my case the Viper Racing Yellow was a $1000 bump and the stripes were another $5000. The red option that was offered was an additional $15,000. I will say that PreFix dose one outstanding paint job. I'm going to say that paint work will run from base of $0 up to what ever you can imagine. I would love a pearl candy yellow with black pearl strip work in a similar design as my Viper ACR. There are some very interesting renderings out there.

The 14 GTS

I don't think it is going to be a factory option. It looks like Tomball (Viper Exchange) will be offering it as an after market item like other packages they sell and install, they do do nice work. I wouldn't be totally surprised to see them tuning them up close to 800 hp.

Fixed. The 4.3L blower system is rated for 900 crank hp. Likely 800 at the rear wheels, at only 6 psi boost. That is why big engines rule. My '06 Viper with its crappy cylinder heads and intake makes 950 rwhp at only 11.5 psi boost.

Correct, will be offered exclusively through Tomball/Viper Exchange. According to the site, it will be available starting in 2016.

Thanks for the fix, Niner!

I just wonder how long it will be before VE creeps up 4 figure HP?

Man...I can see it NOW...what a mess this is gonna be....

1. Every Viper owner thinks they have an even rarer car (that in their mind won't depreciate)
2. Giving people with money and no taste a blank canvas...imagine the possibilities
3. Then newfound car "designer" goes to resale his fire/snake skin/ghost flamed/destroyed Viper for a premium, only to find no one wants the ugly thing

Point is...there is a reason wrap is so popular...you can make your car look hideous if you choose, then ta-da...take it all off. Custom painted pink Ferrari...good luck...wrapped pink Ferrari, peel it off and resell the gorgeous protected paint beneath.

Major kudos to the marketing team at SRT for the "handbuilt in Detroit" flavor, and the one off concept...should definitely inspire some buyers...but what it will do for Viper itself, its resell or its rep...we'll see. I have to say I'm cautious about this one based upon what we see coming out of the paint shop.

It is looking that that is the route I am going, if a dealer in my area who has a car that actually has more than I want on it would rather let his 2014 to sit for another year.

There were allot of 2013 cars that had mrsp's od 140's-150's go for high 80's.
