Thanks for the info. It's depressing though, the Turbo S doing 10.6 @ 130 in the 1/4 is amazing. GM takes a big step forward with the new Z06, and Porsche takes another leap with the Turbo S. And yes I know it's twice the price. JD

For all the complaints about the weight of the ZO6, it is the lightest car of this test, the best handling car as per tests given, .......... and by far the cheapest car in the test

It's amazing that the GTR can out-trap the Z06 with so much more curb weight and less HP

An auto z06 will probably match the trap speed of the GTR i doubt it'd beat it in a mag comparo environment (I know hero runs will likely produce higher trap speed for the z06 vs. gtr)

Turbo S is just psychotic

The steep gear ratio in first, gobs of torque at 2100rpm and AWD make a perfect recipe for that Porsche to be an absolute slingshot out of the hole!!!

These 3 cars average a 0-100mph sprint in just 6.77 seconds...

I can't image what times we will be looking at in 20 years

Not too long ago, a 0-60 run under 7 seconds was respectable.

The GTR has three things that helps it compensate for the less HP and extra weight:

Better traction with AWD

Quicker DCT

Shorter gearing (close spaced)

What bothers me is the trap speed on the stock z06. But the grip of the car is insane which is what it was designed for.

The z06 since it has the most power and only 2 wheel drive needs drag radials and beats both cars.

650 hp and only trapping 125 mph? That's the same trap speed as the 505 hp C6 Z06. Unacceptable.

Modern liter bikes have been consistently faster than the Busa / ZX14 for a while now; only the ZX14R can beat most liter bikes, save for the S1000RR.

Where the bikes really shine is the top end pull - an S1000RR hits 124 mph in 6.8s, and traps low-mid 150's on a good run

Thing is the regular GTR is nearly just as quick as the nismo version and is sold at the same price as the Z06.
