Always thought of a Mercedes as an old man's car.

And a Corvette isn't? I can't tell you how often I get called an old geezer for driving one (even though I'm 24).

The Corvette is not very practical if you're young and raising a family and it's price and cost of ownership (insurance, fuel economy, etc.), puts it out of reach for most youngsters. Of course, the same is true for Ferraris, Porsches, etc.

Weird. I feel just as old(72) when I'm driving one of my three Corvettes as I do when driving my Mercedes. My aches and pains don't magically disappear when I'm driving a Vette and reappear when I'm driving my Mercedes.

My bank doesn't care if I'm driving a Corvette or a Mercedes when I deposit my Social Security check each month.

SMH.....another thread where people love to tell someone how stupid they are for making a different decision. How dare you? (Sarcasm)

Enjoy your new ride man. Haters gonna hate.

Looks like any other M-B or VW to me. I guess I just don't understand peer pressure.

Enjoy your Mercedes. It is big and comfortable on the inside, and fast. And if not fast enough, chip kits abound.

That's the one thing that annoys me about these cars though is the electronic speed limiters.

I'm 42 and the last time I went to any gathering of Corvettes I thought I had strolled into an AARP rally.

The C63 is unique in the fact it is one of the last high-tech NA V8's in a car and will probably be the last.

I had considered an RS7 before buying the C7.
