How much cord do I have left?
I'm looking to know how many miles I can get out of this tire before it pops or stops holding air < 1 day. Its a GoodYear low rolling resistance tire off my '13 Chevy Volt.
How many miles do you think this tire has left in it?

Nope. Sad, but true. I'm accepting donations.

Considering how underinflated or how far the alignment is off. Not many.
Drive 15 miles to tire store after checking pressure OK any more than that??
You can only see the first reinforcement ply so its not ready to let the air out yet but the sidewall is probably compromised.
Should this be in the racing section?

0 miles left on it!!
Even if flipping the tire so the wear is on the inside, most tire shops would refuse to do the work. That tire is unsafe and needs to be removed. Then have an alignment done. Something is really wrong with the suspension on that side of the car. How many miles are on the tires?
Most states have laws regarding minimum tread depth across the face of the tread (most are 2/32") to make a tire "illegal". That tire would be illegal.

Drive this car to the nearest tire shop. Assuming the shop is less than ten miles distant.
Replace tire. Replace tire on opposite side.
Next stop...alignment shop.

Any answer to this question other than "To the nearest tire shop" is wrong. And if you drive on it much longer around mountain roads that load up the outside of the tire, might even be dead wrong.
It's not even a "drive at your own risk" kind of thing, because anyone near you is also at risk.

After watching a few police chases on the news, it seems like you can keep driving a long time without a tire at all. And at pretty high speeds, too.
I wouldn't worry about it.

Looks like it is not an emergency as long as I take it easy. I agree with the posts saying there is life left.
If we think about how the tire is constructed, there is a layer of steel belts under the other cords that are exposed. The steel belts have not yet been uncovered. So there is life left for sure.
