value of 1971 camaro? anyone have thoughts
so I have this local guy wanting to sell his Camaro.
its been sitting for 10 years or more. but before it was parked had refreshed engine paint etc.
currently. the driver door and 1/4 panel has some damage from atv kids hitting it.
its a v8. km not sure
will try to get some more info but any thoughts u have would help.
would like to have a idea what its worth

There is so much info (and photos) needed to ballpark a value on a car like this. Trim level, engine/trans, numbers matching? condition of body, frame and interior..... this list goes on and on.

91000 miles. paint and engine redone over 10 years ago. car just sits. started up once a year from what I was told.
underside is fine. diff leaking, tires old, brakes junk, windshield broken. was told engine and trans fine but we could not drive her since battery dead.
don't think engine original to body.

Car needs a TON of work I would say $5,000 to $6,000 maximum from what I see in the pics. and from what I hear from you describing said Camaro.

Those early second gens are going up in value and are tough to find. The pics aren't the best but if you take all the 80's disco crap off it and redo the seats it doesn't look like a bad car.
A door skin is easy and as long as the inner and outer quarters are good and the area around the back glass - it's a nice car to start with. The repair near the door on the quarter is the only think I don't like.
Check the frame near the rear wheels - they rotted there often.

Just check the VIN. I'd be all over that car if it's a real Z28, and has the original motor. I noticed it doesn't even have headers, so it may be original; easy to check.

Melting Slicks
1971 Z/28 had the tall spoiler not the one on this car.

Vin: The 4 means it was a V8 car., the second "1" means 1971, The N =Norwood, Ohio plant, and the 6684 means it was the 6684th Camaro built in 1971.
