The interior looks like a big step up. I am not 100% on those A/C vents as I think they look a little weird but overall the inside looks nice. The exterior doesn't look all that different than the current version to me. Not really an improvement in my opinion. All the cool stuff is underneath it with the new chassis and LT1.

I own a '13 Mustang but I am no Fanboi. I have owned 2 Chevelles (my '68 SS396 will always be the 1 car I regret selling) a Formula Firebird, Toyota 4Runner, Ranger, Acura TL and several Fox bodies. I'm a bandwagon jumper when it comes to fast cars. I want the fastest most mod freindly car I can afford.
I never liked the 5th gen Camaro because while it looked ok the car wasnt practical in that it was hard to see out of , was too heavy imo and had a near useless trunk and a horrendous interior. that made the '13 Mustang a clear choice for me. The '16 Camaro still only looks ok to me although perhaps less aggressive(not good) , however the interior is vastly improved and I think the combination of the LT1 and the A8 and the weight loss is going to really surprise some people with what it can do in stock trim.
imo the Mustang is a far better looking car outside with a slight edge in interior. I cant comment on the new Camaors outward visibility although the trunk still looks absurdly small. The Camaro will definitely be the better performer...how much better would be the determining factor for me if I were buying a car this year...slightly better and I go with the better looking Stang, If the car is hitting bottom 12's@115 I might be able to get past the ugly.
If I absolutely didnt need a car this year I would wait to see how Ford responds in 2017 and make a decision then

Fifth Gen Camaro................strike one!
Sixth Gen Camaro.................strike two!!
And I'm NOT a Camaro/Firebird hater. I took my driver's test in 1968, in my father's '67 Camaro. Loved the car. I later owned a 1977 Trans-Am, a 1985 Firebird SE, and currently have a '96 Z/28, along with my C-5. I just think that the once exceptional GM styling group has been taking some weird drugs in the last 10-12 years.......

I don't get this raped by a Transformer design ethos on the C7 and new Camaro. Aren't the Corvette and Camaro iconic AMERICAN cars - why such a heavy Japanese influence? There is a lot of Lexus and GTR wannabe cues on both of Chevrolets finest.
Sad.

How on earth do you see the mustangs rear on this Camaro. The mustang's styling (front, side, rear, everywhere) is far superior. The area where the bottom of the rear quarter window shots upward is disgusting. Whoever on the design team approved this design should be fired. The interior is an improvement...that's it.

No, I saw the pictures that Chevrolet posted on their website. That was more than enough for me..........and yes, I fully detect your sarcasm.

They're losing their muscle car feel and trying to to be sports cars. The new Mustang is like that too.

I think it's a huge improvement over the '15. Still has most of the Camaro limitations, but if you're gonna visually compare it to anything, it looks more like the SS.

And these are the people that people listen to about buying cars. That guy obviously didn't have enough to skill to FOLLOW OTHER CARS, what makes him qualified to give any review of anything car related?
Guys like him that went to journalism school and watched Top Gear are why the auto magazine world is at an all time low point right now.

The new Mustangs destroy this new camaro in design. Not even close. I'm actually very disappointed with the looks of this camaro. What were they thinking?

Pictures make it hard to take the whole design in sometimes. I wasn't 100% sold on the C7 rear design until I got to drool over one in person. I'll reserve judgement on this one until I see it the same way. Liking the interior.
