Default Can A Chevy Cruz Spin the Rear Tires?

A guy in a Chevy Cruz and I ended across from each other at a stop sign. The Cruz went first and turned right, I turned left and pulled out behind him. His car was fishtailing left and right and he accelerated away from me pretty quickly. He happened to be going the same way I was and I ended up behind him at the next stop sign. He did the same thing at the next two stop signs. I was tempted to just blow by him, but the adult in me took over as I didn't want to get caught up in this guys antics. I have no idea how much horse power or torque a Cruz has, so the question is, was he spinning the wheels or just jerking the wheel back and forth to simulate a loss of traction?

Hmmmm....I guess that answers the question. He was sliding around like he had a big V8 under the hood. I have no idea what he was doing.

This.

I have a Cruze as my commuter car and can assure you the 1.4L turbo engine is no beast under the hood, even with Diablo's tuner on it (although it did wake up nicely and add a little pep into it's FWD step).

I was driving a C7 at the time and wondered if his antics were reaction to that. Thanks for asking....

Damn....tough crowd today...

Dude was just asking if the chevy cruz was a rear wheel drive car. It is a car forum where car topics are discussed... I know it is a cruz and all but it's still a Chevy I suppose Sort of....

That's why there's a "Other Cars" forum here.

If a Cruze fish tails in the forest and no one is there to see it, is it still forum worthy?

I felt like the Cruz driver was trying to elicit some type of response from me which was confusing and somewhat amusing to me seeing the wide gap in performance between the two cars.

Maybe he was just trying to take pictures, text, eat his sushi, call his friend Bubba & tell him about the "Farrerri" he just seen, and drive at the same time.

He probably was not uncommon as what they really want is a free show of the Corvette power.

I guess it is easier to rag on the guy for posting in the wrong section than to just post the answer and be done with it.

And for what it's worth, I assumed the OP was in his C7 at the time so that makes it C7 related to me.
