87 Porsche 928 For Sale
This is it…. Your golden opportunity at having a Porsche supercar. Designed as a replacement for the 911, this front engine Porsche 928 was state of the art when it was new. While many of the features in this car are common place on many of today’s cars it still retains that special feel that a well-appointed Porsche GT car should have. This particular 928 is a 1987 model which was the first year for the S4 version. It has a liquid cooled 5.0 liter, dual overhead cam V8 engine that makes over 310 horsepower. This is a nice GT car meant for cruising along the highway at high speeds. It has seating for four and an automatic transmission. Power windows and door locks were standard on the 928. This car is not a race car with license plates but rather a very capable and comfortable cruising machine that is a pleasure to drive on long journeys or just popping into town. The automatic transmission will provide miles and miles of care free motoring and is especially pleasant in traffic.
Hurry and contact Matt Kiefer (Quickcat) before someone else buys it. These cars are going up in value right now and a 928 in this condition is sure to help maintain this trend.
The asking price is $12,500. (new price Oct 6, 2015)
This 928 had the timing belt and water pump replaced for you in 2010. The car is in good material condition with a few items that could be repaired but nothing keeping it from going on a long trip right away!
I am selling this car for a friend who died last year. His widow holds the clean title for it.
Features:
Porsche 5.0 liter, 32 valve, dual overhead cam V8 at 316 horsepower
Automatic transmission
Maroon leather interior
Power door locks and windows
Silver exterior paint (new in 2010)
Sony tape deck radio with 10 disc CD changer
Cons:
Sunroof does not open but is in the fully closed position
Passenger window switch sticks (should be replaced)
Cruise control will not hold a speed
Passenger seat does not adjust forward or aft

Le Mans Master
I raced one in my 85 C4, I was a senior in high schoo(1994)l, I took him out on lake shore drive, I remember that because I got pulled over right after that, there was a Chicago cop that had already pulled someone else over, I passed him as I was slowing down, he left the car he pulled over and came after me.
My uncle was a Chicago cop at the time, and took care of it for me.
I didn't know that those cars had that much HP, that is a clean looking car,GLWS

Quickcat, great looking 928 and good luck with the sale.
For those of you interested, he is right. The market on these is going up and if you have an interest now is the time to consider one. My wife and I bought one about 2.5 years ago and loved it so much we bought a second. Parts are easy to find (928sRus.com, etc.) and the owner community is strong.
As far as driving them, they are one of the best GT cars out there. Built for cruising the highway and carving the curves with ease. Find one in good shape, go for a drive you won't regret it.
Here's a shot of my 89 928S4 with updated rims from a 911 Carrera.
