Will GM pony up a new Z07 to challenge VIPER ACR?

Hard to believe Fiat can do this and GM with all the free money from us taxpayers apparently cannot. Step up AMERICA!!!

But really its a tuner factory car. Typical bolt-on parts that really anyone that has modded prior Vettes and Vipers does. Big a$$ wing, MANUAL coil overs, brakes, better tires. Done. Simple stuff. Too much for the street for looks, noise, and maybe ride, but great for the track. Although at this point just get the real thing. But thumbs up for a beast of a car anyway you slice it.

"The most track capable VIPER ever"...said no one ever at FCA. No hype just delivery of a real Track monster - Unlike GM with their BS Hyperbole and PR shenanigans that delivered a tarted up porker that has major issues, both with safety and performance on a track.
Randy Probst who overheated 3 out of 3 Z06s during the first few moths of the launch has nothing but praise for the ACR - crowning it the superior vehicle.
Hows that Z06 Nurburgring lap time coming... any month now.

I usually don't like big wings, but I like it on the ACR. It's also going to be much, much faster around a track than the Z07. Nothing wrong with that, there's always a faster car out there, but when it comes to lap times they're not really going to be in the same league.

Unlike you he actually owns a performance car. What commuter bus line do you use?

The Viper is American and made in America so America has stepped up.

The vette uses cheap tack on parts and plastic spats to cover the bigger tires, in all ways the vette is much more a tuner car.
Looks are subjective, people also said that the gen 4 ACR was to much, but there are many people who drive them on the street.
You cannot comment on the ride unless you drive one, as money corvette forum people who never sat or driven in one wouldn't know the the previous ACR had a nice ride on the street.
Don't forget that this ACR viper can be ordered in a by a customer who wants all the sound dreading, carpet padding, 18 speaker stereo , and it will still kick serious azz.
Unlike the vette the vipers, with the viper new program, any customer can get the car exactly the way they want it.
I'm just informing you of these options, I don't think you are one of the butt hurt brand loyal CF people, just giving you facts before the butt hurt people start up with uninformed comments.
The Z06 hasn't even surpassed ZR1 track times, sorry without a real number, tadge can mumble all he wants, people are smart enough to know why nothing has been released , both C6 variants were announced right away.
And to answer the OP's original question, if GM is going to pony up for the ACR, all one has to do is look at the history?
Have they ever? ......... The answer is no, so why would it be any different now.

to be fair I think GM lends out the Chevrolet Spark to interns who can't borrow the family minivan for work.
I guess Randy Probst is a hater too as he eviscerated the C7 Z06 when he reviewed/drove the ACR.
I have both a Viper and a Corvette - It's been a wonderful battle for the last 23 years. Some rounds Chevy wins but this one definitely goes to Dodge. The ACR will be the new King of the track for real enthusiasts.
Great time to be alive for sure.

You should probably cool it. The moment you joined the forum, you immediately started acting like a jackass. I think you've got to be a previously banned member.

Lol Well seems youre part of the hate on gang for the Z then it must be an issue for you. Im just amazed the amount of trolling that goes on here with the same mundane members ranting and repeating daily with never anything new to say. How sad. As said.... rinse and repeat.

Some of you guys must be liberals. The type of people that cannot have an objective conversation on a subject, without bringing out the "hater" type arguments. The sad part? Those here with actual experience in these cars get pestered by little boys in shitbox cars.
Carry on

Isn't it ironic that the people who are getting labeled as trolls are the people who have owned the most variety, raced the most variety, are engineers in the automotive industry, and are the most objective people?
There definitely are people who troll just for the sake of trolling, but if you can't point out legitimate issues with a car, or make objective statements, then you are directly opposed to progress.

Anyways to get back on topic.... I think SRT made a great track car.
