And this has to do with Corvette, let alone Z06, how? Be sure to post the article about GM's proactive response to on-track overheating of the handful of cars that the owners claim problems with.

LOL. You really didn't need to read it or respond if it's not relevant to you...

Many, many discussions comparing the two brands and the territorial urination contest over which car or brand is better. Some see the Porsche as flawless and far superior. Posted just to generate a little amusing discussion ;-)

FWIW, I drive/race both brands and like both.

Big f*cking deal? Porsche is proactive about fixing ****. GM let's a few hundred people die before they decide to own up and change.

Agreed, neither is perfect and both are great. I do enjoy the lambasting by the devotees of one or the other and the perverse joy some car enthusiasts draw from the misfortunes of others (e.g. tee-hee Corvettes overheat and Porsches throw rods). Meanwhile who would say such a thing to an actual friend whose car broke?

What a mess for Porsche. Having said that two recalls to address problem in a year even though this newest recall only affects 12 cars. Wish GM would act this quickly.

Good way for Porsche to prevent an aura like the 996 has with the IMS bearing.
