Default Road and Track report

Seeing as the V shares the LT4 just thought I would post this here.

11.6 at 126.1 with a 1.9 60' in 2,395 DA not to shabby for the heavy weight V.

The review below.

Awesome! I wish they were going to continue with the coupe version (that's what I came from!). The only thing I'm a little surprised by is they raised the MSRP nearly 20K from the previous gen and the base model isn't as loaded as before with options, test price 95K! I'll stick with the 2 seater!

2016 BMW M5 starts less than that (94,100)

I try to be an all the way USA fan but given the choice for the same money I will take the M5. The BMW has a true dual clutch and is up to 600 ponies with a pretty good track record

Interesting, The road and track worksheet write up for the z06 manual actually has a slower 0-100 time 7.6 I believe they tested it at. I'm guessing it was traction limited since it was cooler when they tested it.

The V starts at 85k but the one that was tested I believe had 10k in options. That was the great value of the previous gen, it started at around 65K, I think they jumped the price way too much.

Cts-v put up very respectable numbers, especially with a 592lb difference over the tested z06 they had. Really wish they were making a coupe version...

Thanks Chrjones..

Only .01 tenth slower on the 60' and the DA was a nice 298 ft.

Somehow the V is making some serious MPH considering 2,395 Ft DA.

And this is just the Rags testing should be interesting in the hands of the public.

Comparing the sheets you can see the lack of aerodynamics slowed the V down after 130 mph.

Wow. Whats odd here is the V made up time on the big end above 130 mph as the Z was losing speed. Very strange indeed and the Z with the auto also had a much better DA.

I saw the regular model in DC the other day, and it looks great. I think this one will be popular.
