Default 2004 Monte Carlo SS battery light on
Hey guys, my cousin's 04 SS has the battery light on. I ohmed the battery with engine off. It was at 12.6 so it's good. Engine running was 14.40ish. So I'm thinking his alternator is also good. Any ideas why the battery light is on?

in the older style alternator the diode trio(inside the alternator) will make the light go on like that.

Yes, you are correct. It was the alternator
