Default Purchased a new Z today.

Bought a 2015 Nissan 370Z Sport Tech Model today, this has to be the funnest car I have ever driven. It is no match for the raw horsepower of my previous Z06, this is truly a great car to drive with a bullet proof engine. (Haters don't bother replying, my friends on here don't care if I no longer have a Z06)

Out with the old and in with the new:

Curious as to why you picked a 370 to replace the Z06

I traded in the Z06 about a month ago, looked around for something to replace it, lot's of different cars, for me this car is fun to drive, it handles like a go-kart on an indoor track, looks great, has decent power, and it is rock solid reliable engine wise - so it checked off a lot of boxes for me.

The killer of the Z06 is the valve guide wear issue and grenading engines, I will always love the styling and the power, but GM pissed me off royally with doing nothing to cure or issue a recall to fix these cars. GM will never see a dime from me, now Ford had seen 100K from me in the last few months, and Nissan just had a 40K sale today, vote with your wallet and hopefully companies will listen

I can understand the feelings about the engine problems. For a $100K+ performance car, why is this issue not solved already?

I can't believe they are still making the 370z. I like them a lot better than the 350z (which was a let down from the 300zx twin turbo), but this has got to be what 6 or 7 years of production?

Several years of production, still very solid cars, fun to drive

I considered this car as well last month. The interior is a bit flimsy/ricey for me. If the G37 (or whatever the new model designation is) had gotten updated this year I would have gotten that.

The interior is fine with me, the three gauges up on the right side of the dash are kind of ricey, but I like the navigation unit and the overall layout in the car.

Dan, congrats on the new ride...looks like a lot of fun. Reliability shouldn't be an issue on that one...at least with the powertrain. Like I told you yesterday, I've seen more than a few people opt out of their C6Z and pick up a 370Z. Cool little cars for the money.

Thanks Mike

I am definitely enjoying this ride more than the Z06 in general, got to go meet a contractor for a remodel we are doing, so I am hitting the road in the Z in a few minutes

Have fun with the new ride. I had no idea the 370z's were $40k! That is a lot more than I would have expected.

They start in the low 30's and go up to close to 50k for a loaded Nismo if I remember correctly.

The ONLY Z is a Z06 . Enjoy, you obviously don't care about power since your Z was stock according to your stats.. At least you will get better mileage with the Nissan... I will admit it beats the hell out of the GTR (any model) looks wise exterior. To each his own. Enjoy the "FUNNEST" car . Grammar not your thing eh? just razzing, enjoy the massive step down in power.. but then its all about the handling right?

It's ultimately about being happy with any car you own, I like this car, just got back from running a bunch of errands and enjoyed every minute of it.
