Default Possible LT4 swap

My father came to me today about how he wants to build a split bumper camaro powered by the new z06's LT4 and I was left to figure out the rest. my first question was what transmission would be recommended to pair to such a high output engine? I was thinking possibly a super magnum 6 speed manual but im open to suggestions. All advice and opinions are welcomed relating to any spect of the build. This is just the beginning and i have a lot left to figure out. im also still looking for a shell rust free and preferably rolling. if youve got one let me know!

First off I love the idea of doing this to an early 2nd gen Camaro. I too have really been thinking of picking up a 70-73 car and doing something similar.

As far as the new LT4 goes you may want to consider looking for an LS9 or LS7 as I think the availability for parts/electronics may be more easily sourced. A 6 speed trans from a ZR-1 or Z06 would work perfectly!!

Sounds like you have a possible car fire on your hands.

I like this suggestion also. Don't have to deal with DI and tiny blower. The LS9 is plenty powerful and not as complex. Even an LS3 plus blower would be a good setup.

Yeah cause every Z06 motor has blown hasn't it... Smh. What an ignorant comment to make. I don't understand why the C7 platform is hated on by so many people here.

OP: Not sure where you would find an LT4. I would go with an LS9 and TR6060 since the LS9 has been around for a while now and finding parts and electronics for it shouldn't be hard.

I'm sorry you have a poor sense of humor, but instead of getting pissy when someone makes a joke and staying pissy when they say it's a joke, maybe you should lighten up. You'll live longer.

Smh... What a dumb comment. I wasn't in a pissy attitude, I'm just wondering what's with the C7 hat
