Default OT horn contact question.

Another OT question relating to my'64 GTO. Sorry but there is way better response here than on the GTO forum. I installed a OEM tilt column and received the canceling cam and horn contact for it yesterday. Could someone tell me what order and in what orientation the contact, spring and plunger are installed? The directions talk about cutting for certain applications. I have no idea what that means...... I'm assuming the plunger (if that's what it's called). If the Corvette tilt column is close in application maybe it's not so off topic.

Thanks in advance.
