Man that Yorange ACR with the black stripes kinda gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I'm a yellow/black guy but...damn..that beast is very tempting.

Road and Track has been publishing a series of short articles on its web site regarding the various PCOTY contenders. The one published yesterday was on "the last great American car". Here is a link to the very complimentary article:

http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cult...-american-car/

There are some great quotes like:

"There's still time for you to go out and buy a Dodge Viper. There's still time for me to go out and buy a Dodge Viper."

"Don't worry about the hype: You don't need to be a pro racer to drive a Viper on track, and you don't need a titanium spine to drive it off-track. These final-generation cars are surprisingly pleasant to operate."

I had pretty much decided on Stryker Purple with charcoal pearl stripes but I'd like to see the Yorange in person. I just might have to fire up something with wings and go take a look see for myself, but that's usually how I end up in trouble.

Picture fail, I tried to copy the picture of it and post here but not a member of faceplant so...

they are the reason why the gen 5 has so many aftermarket goodies , they are releasing a Bolt-on supercharger next year that will make 900 hp on just 6lbs of boost

Just go there and ask for Andy.

900 to the crank right? What all does the kit include? Is it just a blower and the necessary peices or does it come with and intake, headers, etc. Looking forward to the kit either way.

Yep at the crank, you will have to ask Andy all the parts it includes , as far as I know, fuel system, intercooler, and I can bet they will offer a 10lb pulley, 6 psi isn't allot of boost, and still makes ridiculous power, but that is what big cubes do when FI is introduced.

Some of you may remember I put an order in for a 2015 Z06 but cancelled 3 days later. Still would have considered if some changes were made for 2016 but honestly, it doesn't look like Ill buy another brand new GM product again. GM is the worst part of vette ownership and I am sick of their chyt from the whole LS7 exhaust valve saga.

In the meanwhile, picked up a cherry 2011 Camaro SS for the wife with 4500K miles and Ill just drive my Terminator for now.
Very cool my friend, congrats, very happy for you, the Gen V ACR is one bad *** machine!!!!!!!!!!

Hey old friend!!! hope you and wife are good.

thanks for the congrats...I know you like the styling of the gen 4 better, but the gen 5 really took a huge step in many other aspects.

Hey Jimmy, you should consider going to the national viper event next year. Wife and I will be there. Its a blast of a time.

Boba,

Any status on your build? I finally got mine ordered - billet silver with extreme aero and carbon fiber engine bay brace. The ACR is currently "on restriction" and the dealership is saying it will be at least the 6th of Dec before my order will be accepted by Dodge - then at least a 10 week build time after the order is accepted.
