Lotus 3/11 posted 7:06 time on Nur no problem lol
Lotus didn't have any problem releasing their 7:06 lap time.
Kudos to Lotus for releasing it; they even stated that the time was combination of fastest time of each sector from multiple laps on Nur.
I'm still wondering why GM have not release their Z06 time yet lol.

So, does that mean it's okay for a bowler to pick and choose frames from multiple games to have a perfect 300? How about a pitcher in the MLB? I think we would have a hell of a lot more no hitters if we can play by these rules.

Cherry picking the fastest sectors doesn't mean anything except potential at that particular location. A real lap time is much slower than the 7:06. They should know better than to put out that stupid hypothetical number. Shame on Lotus !!

Wow... Well at least the article did not say this time was faster than the Z06? and really how the hell can they actually use this way to put up a time? Really? That sounds like some things the GTR would do, lol..

My point is that, they done their testing and put the number out even though is not a full hot lap. It is undesirable, yes, but it is what it is and they published it for you to take it with a grain of salt. They didn't hide it like GM Z06, McLaren P1, and Ferrari LaFerrari with some BS reason...or some marketing reason as some people stated...I guess.

I think that's the answer you really want.

If it has not eclipsed those 2 then there is still work to be done on the car and I would definitely not release the time either. It's a completely new platform and engine configuration and may need more refinement and on a circuit like the Ring it just may not have the top end on the fast sections to make the time.

I think GM is still trying to better their time...number 1 it has to be faster than the ZR1 and it definitely has to be faster than the C6Z06 which is only 3 seconds slower than the ZR1.

according to some in here, Nurburgring times mean absolutely nothing even though most manufactures who produce high performance cars test and post times of their car's run on that track.
Oh and unless you race cars professionally those links that you post don't count, only professional race car drivers can legitimize times tested by outside sources.

Hey, great news. I shot a 51 on my home course! I've birdied every hole on the course and eagled 2 of the 3 par 5's. Par 71, 20 under...yep, that's a 51. By this logic, it doesn't matter how many rounds it took. Just as long as I did it.

and short hand for the Nürburgring Nordschleife is not "Nur," but 'Ring.

If I could run each segment separately and not have to worry about the entry line or entry speed (read excessive) for the next segment, I could put together a pretty impressive lap time I'm sure.
