I just bought a Viper today and am very excited to park it next to my Vettes. 2001 Viper GTS Coupe with 16,000 miles, Saphire Blue. Beautiful car. Great handling, great acceleration/low end torque. The Corvette and Viper are very different but both great American Sports Cars.

Thank You guys. It really is a blast to drive. Not as cushy as the Z06 but I like the firm ride and the go-kart handling. Could use a "dead pedal" to put your left foot while you're cruising on the highway. The exhaust note with stock exhaust isn't so great but that can be remedied.

I'm not sure why I like this nine ball guy..but it must be something to do with him calling it as he sees it in a factual, non-bashing way. And he usually is spot on.

and...f'kn, morons. Hey a 918 is faster than a 944, so what's your point?

5 horsepower isn't really a big difference. The more "traditional style race wing" on the TA 2.0 and ACR are meant to make good to downforce, but also not create a ton of drag in a straight line. The Z06's spoiler setup isn't great for straight line performance over 140-150. Honestly this stuff shouldn't make a big difference, I mean both are awesome cars! I will say this, the ACR was never meant to compete against the Z06 (the Gen4 ACR didn't compete against the C6 Z06, so the same logic should apply here), but if it's faster around a track than cars costing more, I could care less that it's faster than a Z06. It's still a point for us Americans against everyone else. We should appreciate that we have cool cars like the Z06, ACR, and Hellcat, because soon, those will all probably and sadly disappear.
