FWIW, I recently sold my 2005 LS430 that we bought new, did all the routine maintenance at the Lexus dealer and drove 250,000 miles. It ran flawlessly until a few days before we sold it. Had a problem with the smart key, the dealer got it running but said it might need two different ecu's replaced for $2500 or so. Not a lot of money, but since we were ready for an SUV( bought a new Infiniti QX60 fully loaded), we just drove it to Carmax and sold it for $6000. Our car was in excellent condition for that age. So we loved our LS and this car sounds like a fair price. I agree that the one thing our car lacked was the sport suspension that would have given a little more responsive steering feel, but maybe at the expense of slight increased ride firmness.

Thank you for the kind comments everyone.
Lionsfan5454, Mixed city traffic and highway travel to and from work I'm averaging 23. The best I've achieved has been 27.7 from Raleigh, NC to Atlanta, GA. First year of the 6 speed transmission. I do wish I could break into the 30s but this is definitely not a vette lol.
Musclecar6, thanks for sharing. You're correct the ride is a little bit more firm than a regular LS430 but it's hard to notice unless you go over some rough road surface. I suspect the wider and thinner height 18s have something to do with that as well. It sounds like you had a nice LS. About the ECU issue, I've never heard of that particular issue occuring on an LS430. One of the reasons I purchased the LS over other luxury cars was because of the super reliability.
