I'm guessing they won't have a bunch of Vipers since they're hand built and they don't make many per year. But seriously, what does this have to do with the Z06 exactly?

Absolutely nothing.
But mark1107 has evolved into a chronic troll, so not surprising.

I guarantee you this was a business decision and didn't have anything to do with the overheating issues.

Absolutely nothing, if you choose to ignore the FACT that they replaced their Z06's with Vipers.

It's sounds like a new business venture and program. The official article says that the Bondurant Racing School is not going to replace the High Performance Driving school. So I don't think the Z06's are actually being replaced. It sounds like they are just creating a program for customers of Dodge products.

Either way, I think its a great opportunity to drive cars that I don't own around a track!

Looking at their website, they don't show the C7 Z06 in their line up of cars. They do show the C7 stingray and the Camaro. They have removed all the photos of the C7 Z06.

Here is an informative article on the Viper and it says the Dodges are used with the high performance driving school. Says nothing about a Racing School.

"AUBURN HILLS, MI - November 4, 2015: New Dodge/SRT buyers grab your racing shoes and helmets - Dodge is teaming up with the legendary Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving to create "The Official High Performance Driving School of Dodge/SRT."

Starting Jan. 1, 2016, Dodge customers who purchase or lease a 2015 or 2016 Dodge/SRT can experience a high-performance driving class with professional instruction and time on the track where they can develop their racing and driving skills in a one-day performance-packed adventure.

Dodge will provide the rides - nearly 100 SRT vehicles - including the 707-horsepower Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcats. In fact, Bondurant's entire fleet of cars is being converted to Dodge Chargers, Challengers and Vipers. Participants who qualify will have the rare opportunity to drive the Dodge Viper ACR, the fastest street-legal Viper track car ever.

"We want drivers to develop an appreciation for the levels of performance our Dodge/SRT vehicles are capable of delivering," said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands - Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, Fiat, FCA - North America. "Teaming up with Bob Bondurant, whose method of training has served more than a half-million drivers from around the world for nearly half a century, gives our Dodge/SRT owners the perfect track environment and professional guidance to hone their performance driving skills and gives us the chance to expose our lineup of SRT vehicles to a new group of performance car enthusiasts."

When they arrive at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Chandler, Arizona, participants can combine advanced street driving skills with proven racing techniques and hours of track time for an unparalleled hands-on experience behind the wheel. Classes will include skid control, accident avoidance, line technique and a lead-and-follow session.

"In 47 years of being the global expert on driving instruction, I've been waiting for the right circumstances to launch the Bondurant Racing School to honor my championship legacy. Finally, that day is here," said Bob Bondurant - Owner, Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. "The Dodge/SRT muscle cars provide me the perfect platform needed to thoroughly teach road racing."

SRT customers have one year from their purchase or lease date to take advantage of the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving opportunity. Dodge will give eligible customers access to the school and vehicles for track driving. Participants can make a weekend trip out of the experience, but are responsible for their own hotel accommodations and travel.

Bob Bondurant has been at the forefront of professional driving instruction since 1968. Using the Bondurant Method, more than 500,000 students - ranging from racers and celebrities, to teenagers, professionals and police officers - have learned from Bondurant's expertise.'

Notice the announcement that I highlighted in Blue..

I chose that photo as it's a great shot of the C7 Z06. Game or not, Bondurant did have C7 Z06's in their line up of cars, and they do not have them now listed on their website.... Hahaha.

I was at the unveil at SEMA last night. Bondurant is replacing their GM line with Dodge. It won't be all ACR Vipers, they will have base cars too.

I guess there was a bigger falling out between the two companies than just overheating issues on the Z06s then. I wonder if they will replace all the GM products at once or just start phasing them out as they reach their end of service life for that type of environment?

You're right this article doesn't mention the racing school wording as the other article. I also went back and saw that I missed a bullet in the other article that stated the entire fleet was being swapped out.

Like I posted earlier...either way that they went, it's a great opportunity to drive cars that I don't own (and have no current plans to upgrade to) around a track at high speeds!

I wonder if this move will help continue the Viper production? I know Chrysler has officially pulled the plug on its Viper GTS-R racing program in the IMSA and there are daily rumors about the Viper going away in 2017. They are such an aggressive and unique car; I always loved their looks!

The only overheating in this thread is the trolls. Bondurant was getting their *** kicked by Spring Mountain and getting very little of the 'free'/discounted customers from new owner program incentives. In fact, I don't recall seeing Bondurant as an option for driver school in the last info from Chevrolet. Perhaps Bondurant didn't have a choice and GM was dropping them at end of contract year. As it is, no one in this thread knows the real reasons.

I find it difficult to believe that GM dropped Bondurant, most likely the other way around.

GM was getting a lot of positive publicity by having their cars being used by a very well known racer in his High Performance Driving School.

It has to be very embarrassing for GM to have their cars replaced by Dodge. I really doubt if GM initiated the change.

Being that this article was a Dodge press release, I accept it as being accurate. I suspect that the Viper is going to be around longer than has been speculated, as I doubt that Dodge would sign a contract with Bondurant and then drop one of the highest profile cars in their lineup at the end of 2016.

I see it as a move by Dodge to invigorate new life into the Viper. This move, along with all the publicity with all the records being set by the Viper recently, has really got people's attention.

While the records are being set by the ACR, it will help sell non ACR Vipers. That's how marketing works.

Bondurant didn't change brands with the idea of going downhill, just the opposite. I'm sure that both Dodge and Bondurant see the deal as a win-win situation for both parties.

Again this is nothing more than a business decision. To look at it any other way is rediculous.

Bondurant cares about one thing, running a successful business. Dodge approached them or he approached dodge. The end result was that the two entered into a partnership for a dodge driving experience.

To assume that this is a black mark on the Corvette brand is stupid. Think of all of the guaranteed participants they have now that dodge is including the program in a car purchase.
