I see a LOT of Miatas on-track being driven very hard (and very well) on a regular basis. Those guys surely aren't looking for their man-cards, nor are they concerned how they are perceived.
Not sure why people make assumptions about somebody based on what car they drive. All of this BS about Corvette guys aspiring to be Viper owners, women or emasculated men driving Miatas and ****** driving Porsches is just stupid.

And those track raced Miatas account for what percentage of Miatas on the road? Like what 0.0001% LOL?

Actually, production numbers between Miata and Corvette are very similar. I always see more Miata than corvette at any track event or club race. Budget is part of it. But of all my track cars, my Turbo Miata is overall the best. Not quite the ultimate pace of others, but running cost and reliability are amazing and unless a driver knows what he is doing I can easily run with the the Vettes at my home track. And SM is some of the best racing there is.

I agree with you but, the argument isn't regarding track potential.

My original post was about car stereotypes, not the manhood of the owner/driver. VW Bugs and vans were for hippy types, the first Japanese imports were eco-warrior, etc. I find it interesting how certain cars get a reputation. Someone mentioned that Mustangs were marketed to secretaries in the beginning. Since I was 4 1/2 when they came out, I just don't remember.

Since 2002 Mazda produced just over 130k Miatas for the USDM. So a fraction of Corvette production, which emphasizes the point even more.

Regardless.....they don't have the $$$ to road race a new C7. Miata drivers aren't real financial powerhouses, from what I've noticed.

You are such a perceptive fellow. Do you road race a C7?

Does money make one a better driver? Or a better man for that matter?

When do you plan on buying a Corvette? You've been talking about doing so for years. If I was you, I would move out of that sh*tbox you call a house that you've posted pics of. You could probably buy one twice as nice as that dump for what a C7 costs.
