Those "chick cars" with an LS swap can be in the next county by the time a "man's car" is up to speed. The holy Shelby Cobra we all know and love started off as a secretary's car, too.

Too bad the Miata never morphed into a wide body 427 like the Cobra did though. I like the new design, but yes, IMO, it's still a chick car.

It was the first Japanese car that I actually liked the looks of. These new ones look pretty nice too. I don't think I'd fit in one too well though.

Agreed, and it doesn't have the history of the Shelby version. But there's something special about an LS3/7 Miata to me as well. This guy did a pretty good job.

Not if your ***** is adequate enough that no compensation is required, and that goes double on track.

I do find it amusing that certain cars get typecast. Miata's got the girl tag. Chrysler 300's seem to be the urban wheels of choice. Subarus for, ugh, women in comfortable shoes. Any others you can think of.

Corvettes are for middle-aged, balding White guys.
Supras are for *********.
Porsches are for people that can't afford Ferraris.
Civics are for Mexicans.

I can't think of any other ones right now.

I loved my NA Miata. I'm actually looking for another one right now. I don't give a crap what people think. I buy cars for me. That car was a blast to drive & there is no substitute for dropping the top. I love the look of the ND Miata.

I saw while one a little over a week ago on the way to work, looked pretty nice. And yes, a woman was driving it!

The new look pretty good.
