Default Being Scammed any legal advice

Trying to sell my Z4, just put an add in Cars.com and have gotten 2 phony offers. This one just came via email, the others were text. Here it is. Any way to turn them in for this?

Do you have the extra keys, Do you have the spare tire, Where did you
get your car serviced, Have you ever had any transmission repairs and
Is there any rust on the vehicle? I'm ready to pay your asking price
and my only quickest payment option is PayPal, its safe fast and
secure and i will be responsible for the PayPal transaction charges so
you can get your expected amount. If you don't have an account with
PayPal, its pretty easy to open one, Just log onto www.PayPal.com and
sign up. I hope we can make the purchase as fast as possible? As I am
buying the vehicle for my dad as a birthday surprise and I'm very sure
he will love this vehicle, his a mechanic and a handy man, so if there
is anything that need to be fixed in it just let me know he will
handle it. I have a mover that will come for the pick up and title
transfer with a notarized letter from Attorney once payment clears in
your account and he will handle the title for me. I look forward to
hear from you with the information below.

Your PayPal e-Mail Address :
Full name:
Pickup address:
Firm Price:

Thanks

Legal advice? Yep, ignore it. Don't reply, just delete it and move on.

Thank you for the reply. I am buying it for my Dad and I want it as a surprise package to appreciate him for his achievements for humanity in general and should be delivered before my arrival to Wisconsin because I stayed in Wisconsin.(home address ;5133 Maplewood Dr Greendale, WI 53129)

I am working as a Construction Engineer and we are presently at USA/Mexico border and we do not have access to long distance calling at the moment so am working 25days offshore that is why I have contacted you.

Please I will need to ask a few questions from you:

- Are you the first owner?
- Where is it located at the moment and can I see closer pictures like Engine, dash, tires, interior?
- Does it have any history I should be aware of?
- Does it have any mechanical faults presently?
- Do you have a reason of selling it? and how much is your last price?

Kindly, write me back to know your decision regarding the item and I will like to be the final buyer and waiting for your reply.

Thank you !!!

I sold a boat earlier this year and listed in through boat trader and craigslist.

I got several emails like that. I think it is the new normal. It did get under my skin, but after the first couple you get numb to it. I played with a few of them for fun. If they are texting you, call them back.

Mind boggling they spend time chasing the chance to take advantage of somebody so deliberately. Don't know how they sleep at night.

They are screwing with you, do the same back to them. Tell them some BS answers to their questions (no, I'm the 39th owner. Needs turn signal fluid. Etc.)

I love burning their time. Keeps them from scamming somebody else.

Some email threads have become epic.

Just my .02 cents.
