I guess they wanna look like all the honda civics I see driving around town here. Let me guess, they charge extra to make it look like a primered hood? lol

Every bodies got an opinion. It ll be interesting how the sales are for the upcoming 1LE package...

Usually I don't like black hoods but the shape of the camaro 6 th gen itself is unique.

I prefer the 1LE rear spoiler over the SS...

So far guys that have the 6 th gen seem to be enjoying the cars....I'd suggest the 1LE will be even more impressive.

If they are anything like 5thGen's sold with the 1LE package, sales of the option will be very low. Very few buyers of Camaro's, in my experience, are interested in a track-oriented suspension and will most likely choose a 2SS versus a massaged 1SS. Too me, the satin black hood treatment only seems to accentuate the already toilet-lid looking shape of the hood on the 6thGen.

What's not to enjoy? I respect the performance GM is offering in the Camaro, I just would never buy one. Primarily base on ergonomics reasons and poor resale value. Do you know what 5thGen used Camaros with the 1LE option resell for? Pretty much for the same prices as a non-1LE SS of the same year.

Thank you for your opinion even if many of us disagree with your assessment ..

I order my corvettes the same way as gm produces the 1LE...

I think it's awesome and I believe Al O said the base price is under 40...

Even if it's not...it's exactly how many of us would order...

It won't be under 40k. Pointless to keep repeating that when you have no sources to back it up.

1LE finally gets the spoiler all 6th gen SS's should have had.

Car looks great, remove the wrap or paint the hood if you don't like it...

Mag SS already performing extremely well - enough to be more comparable to GT350 than the GT. 1LE will compete very well with the GT350 I'm sure, but time and comparisons will tell.

Whatever the price is I don't know. I did read that that Al O said it was going to be under forty.

I read a lot so I can't remember where I read that statement and I could be mistaken ...so what....

If the price is closer to 45000 dollars based on the MRC , NPp exhaust, recall seats, d shaped steering g wheel, modified suspension, sticker tires and better looking rear spoiler as well as the blackened hood....let's not forget electronic rear differential and better brakes.....hell if it's under fifty it lol be a hell of a deal..

That's still a hell of a deal.

We will have to agree to disagree until there is an official pricing

announcement...but at the same time it'll be interesting to see the comparison track performance of the 1LE versus mustang gt350....

Al O says the 1LE is faster and based on previous GM engineering efforts I believe Al O....the chief engineer for camaro.

Does anyone truly believe the 1LE will be faster than a Z28? Really?

I assume you are referring to MT's test of the GT350R vs their long-term Z/28?

A couple of things:

1. No one has said the 1LE would be faster than the Z/28 or the GT350R - only that it will compete very closely, and possible better than the standard GT350 (Mag ride SS 6th gen has already shown closer comparison numbers to the GT350 than the Track Pack GT S550).

2. MT's Z/28 was on worn tires. I'm NOT saying the Z/28 would have beat the GT350R had it had brand new tires like the R was wearing, but at least the test would have been a lot more credible (who in their right mind takes a car to a race track with a pro driver and leaves worn tires on??). To add further evidence to this fact, the very next update from MT on the Z/28 showed cords on the tires they had just run the comparison test with...

Yes, I was referring to that test.

I think the 1LE came out with an MSRP of 43 grand.

This is cool but with the ZL1 priced out at 62 grand and it's a little better looking to boot.

Tough choices but seeing a new c7 z06 priced at 67 grand today on this forum makes that a better choice than either camaros...

Imo

Default Bringing it back from the dead

I noticed this thread was pre 20171LE release but now that its out...we can talk about it again.

I have a 2015 1LE lease that is up in 2 weeks. I've been contemplating either a 2017 1LE Lease, or 2006 z06 purchase. Have two cars in my sights.

i have a c7 Z06 but I need another car to drive to work or split the miles with.

What do you guys think...now that we know all the lap times

I think I'm going to buy one for a track car. For the money nothing comes close.

Get the 06 Z , just make sure you have the heads done, I have some good time in a 16 SS six speed, it is a marvelous car, I would take it over any base model C6, but not a Z car.
