Default Friend let me borrow his Hellcat Charger for the week!

My friend went on vacation and INSISTED that I borrow the Hellcat to see what I think. Well who the hell would pass that up so of course I said yes!

The car is such a fun car and the seats are so comfortable. It was pretty cool weather out the other day but with the heated seats/steering wheel on it was a great cruise and I really enjoyed it. When it warmed up a little I was able to test the power a little and there is PLENTY of power in this car. It feels about as fast as a stock C6 Z06 and I think it would beat my bolt on stingray. While out driving I ran into a Ford GT at a stoplight It was too cold out and I didn't want to abuse my friends trust so we just exchanged thumbs up and went on our way. I text my friend the picture of the GT at the light and said I am out hunting to see what his reply would be and it was just two words. RACE HIM.

Damn, FGT in the wild, that's a rare sight.

I had a V6 Charger for a rental last week, the car felt huge. It's hard to believe that Dodge was able to make that car so fast. Seems like a lot of fun.

It is just a monster of a motor moving a mountain of weight. If that Hellcat motor was in a 3,500lbs car it would be insane. I believe the Charger Hellcat is over 4,500lbs. It's nuts that it still feels that fast. I believe they trap over 125mph. Also on a dyno they show they are still underrated and usually make more than the advertised 707 horsepower lol That's just stupid power.

Ditto on weight in a 3500 lb car can only imagine

10 yrs ago wouldnt have believed stuff like this would be available with a warranty and smooth idle. Amazing.

I was sitting next to a Hellcat Challenger and noticed they only have 275 series tires in the back. That seems thin for a beast like that. Anyone have any good reason for such a "thin" tire on a monster like this.

A hellcat viper would have been an interesting machine.

There is not a good reason. My SRT8 JGC with AWD comes with a 295 tire and only has 470 HP. For whatever reason, Dodge will not stagger the tires except for the viper.

Well its a sad day because I have to give the keys back lol I really enjoyed my time with this car and got a little attached to it. Today I drove my stingray and I HATE to say this but it felt a little slow lol not like a night and day difference but the hellcat definitely feels a little faster.

Luckily I was driving my car to ECS for some goodies so that should take care of that problem = ) anyone has an opportunity to check out a hellcat definitely do so !
