OP: great run. Thanks for posting. I like reading about other cars' real life performance. Seems like Z06 people are tolerant of other marques. Imagine posting a Z06 run on 6speedonline or viperclub, it'd get shot down in no time.

Yeah - that's every board though.
Like you - I am a car guy. I had a C5 Z06 and a C7 Z06 and have been a member on here for a long, long time. Had as many corvettes as any other car I've owned. I appreciate all cars that go to the strip and the efforts that every driver makes to find that next tenth. I don't care who is faster or slower. But I always love to know how a particular car can run. Love, love, love to read threads on here about how fast someone drove in their M7 or A8, with MPSS, or Cups or DRs. Lots of data points and you can just tell how much fun the person had doing it.
Everything else we read on the net kind of sucks - except evilmilk.com (thank you webmasters for that site), so why not enjoy some racing results?

Last month there was a new 650 out at Sonoma Raceway trying to sort out his traction control. He didn't make it into the 10's.

Nice runs, but I'm curious to hear how you like it on a road course.
The Macs are really the next step up from our Z's in overall performance. Nothing else in between that gap that can go, stop, or turn as well. Not your pcars (not even GT3RS) or your garden variety Fcars (F488) seem to be able to do more than a Z on a track. Even cars like Aventador are too narrowly focused for straightline speed.
But the Macs seem to be able to take the entire performance envelope and shift it up a notch across the board. They really are in a separate league. Truly great drivers cars and now we see that they can absolutely toast a quarter mile.

God damn a 10.27 is flying! Congrats Enzom.
I love the 570S for many reasons and this is one of them. Not only does it sound better than the 650 it weights like 3,000 lbs.

10.2, Wow, really fast. I'm old enough to remember when Ronnie Sox and Grumpy Jenkin's Pro Stockers weren't much faster than that.

McLaren says the 570S has a DIN of 3175 pounds(best I can find out is that it is the same as kerb weight but with a 90% fuel load) They don't say what the fuel tank capacity is so guessing 18 gallons(US) to fill it to 100% would add another 11 pounds.
Comparing the McLaren with 562 bhp at 3186 pounds would be 5.67 pounds per horsepower vs the C7 Z06 with 650 bhp and 3524 curb(kerb) weight at 5.42 pounds per horsepower.
To have a comparable 5.67 pounds per horsepower of the 570S, the number the Z06 would have to weigh in would be 3686 pounds. Calculated with the pounds per horsepower the 570S is the porker, not the Z06. Yet the 570S turns in a spectacular 10.27 ET while having more pounds per horsepower.

Secondly, it has already been stated that the 570s is most likely under rated from the factory. I haven't done any research on this so I could be wrong, but it sounds highly probable.
Third, if I had to choose between two cars with a 500 lb weight difference with near identical hp/weight ratio, I'd always pick the lighter car. It's much easier to add HP than it is to subtract weight.

Safety Car
C7/Z06 weight
I have a 2015 stage 1 A8 Z06 and this info is from the door/pillar stickers:
Gross vehicle weight= 4118 lbs.
Max. passengers wt. = -525 lbs.
--------------------------- 3593 lbs. (curb weight)
I took the car to a truck scale with a full tank of gas and 260 lb. driver (without clothes) to have it weighed.
Results = 3860 lbs. (total weight w/driver)
So it looks like the door/pillar stickers are correct. Check your driver "door" sticker for the vehicle gross weight than subtract the total passenger weight (525 lb. located on door pillar) to find out your car's curb weight.
I was told that the scale had a +/- factor of 20 lbs.

I'm going to take it to Englishtown in the next couple of weeks and will weigh it.
