Also "maybe" just maybe due to consistently better track prep, location, etc. some tracks seem to be where a lot of records are set like MIR, Atco, for example.

I have never been to Atco but the "last" time I was at MIR (2011 track rental) with my at the time 24 year old air condition "V6" street Buick. I managed a 9.94 et. on MT drag radials.

Zero psi foot brake launch on that run at 22 psi of boost and I had approx. 8 more psi of boost I could of dialed in but I knew that the drive train would not of taken it. Car is still in great shape.

I recently watched a video of a built C5 vs hellcat vs GN, the GN do this day still holds up IMO to the any new muscle car.

I briefly had a GN but it it was built to the point that it wasn't very street friendly(stage 2 motor), there was always something wrong with it.

Odd you should mention that. Due to getting interested in corvettes in 2010 when I bought a Grand Sport to bracket race the Buick has been parked in a friends garage since. The Grand Sport took the place of the Buick in my one car garage.

On Turbobuick"s" web site in the Stage Two section where I covered the TA Aluminum Block build with many pics of the engine going together in my garage, etc. I mention a good while ago that if anyone was interested the car was for sale, well I got a call and it looks like I "may" have it sold. Based on what I've seen so far, even if I could afford it, I can't see selling my C6Z for a C7Z for performance reasons. The tech & interior is, obviously, better than the C6.
