It appears that one cannot camouflage 'ugly'.

That leaves 0-60, qtr mile, and qualifying laps for the Z06. A little shabby imo for a halo car. What good is the small frontal area of the Z06 if you can't pass a bulky sedan in top speed? What good is the aluminum frame and transaxle if on hot days you leave it in the padock to drive the Camaro?

The Cady has a lower drag coefficient and it has the fastest top speed. The Camaro likely is the better car for endurance racing or track driving in general, given the cooling improvements.

I won't disagree with you that it's a silly competition. But if we talk about track prowess we have other problems in comparing it to the Camaro. The Z28 appears to have a superior aero as well for getting downforce with low drag.
Mine only goes 186mph. The entry level Z06 goes to 195mph and there is little to remove to hit 200 mph.

I just thought "top dog" would have to be the fastest. Top speed is one typically used metric to figure out who the top dog is. What do people ask you at gas stations? I always get "how fast does this thing go?"

0-60 or 1/4 mile numbers are good enough for me. When the CTS-V was the fastest sedan around the Nordschliefe (for a month or two until the Panamera beat the CTS-V time) that was a usable brag-stat for a while...
I assume you have stage 2 or stage 3 aero? If one wanted the 5 mph back on a stage 1 Z06, though, I would think that the removing the spoiler and splitter would do it. But then the track times would lengthen.....so it's all a trade-off, depending on which brag-stat you are interested in.....

I loved my CTS-V wagon with a manual. The new CTS-V is intensely boring. I was invited to the V series event for owners. Cadillac moved towards a younger population with the Gen 2 V and then moved away again with Gen 3. All the new Cadillacs have really gone back to an 'old' buyer. It's disappointing.
Before ordering my C7Z I considered waiting for the ZL1. Perhaps it sorts out the cooling issues of the Z while having enough heart and soul to feel like a sports car and not a muscle car. I'm sure it'll be formidable. Frankly though, I couldn't get over them plastering CAMARO smack in the middle of the steering wheel. I just don't feel special in a Camaro or a Mustang no matter how hairy they make its *****. And mine are plenty hairy already.

Just go back to your original post....you know bla bla mullet mobile...and then ask your mom to explain IRONY to you and how it relates to what you drive and what you said.

Do you have a problem with people younger than you?
