Thanks man. I know it hurts some of the members here to see it but it's worth it to help the people who genuinely want to drive their car in the winter. The tires are fantastic in the snow. It's better than out 16' Tahoe with all seasons. Just stay out of heavy slush! Also, they will dead hook in 30 degrees on dry pavement. That's the fun part of it.

I think it weighs 7000lbs (or close) and my best 0-60 is 4.8 seconds, and I don't think you could do that with only 510hp, but I did!
So far my best is also 4.8.. It tracks your best time and also has launch control. I think for the money you can't beat it..

Whenever you're ready for it give me a holler. I've got you set up with our "Cherokee Hellcat" package.

I am looking for something like an AWD mid/full size sedan for the winter having enjoyed too many years in the South driving a vette year round and now will be enjoying a snowy winter up north. Isn't Jeep getting a bad rap currently though?

We don't get very much snow in southwest Missouri, but in all of my many trips to Colorado I noticed tons of Subaru's with Colorado tags. I figure that they know what works best in snow, so if I needed a vehicle that had to be driven in a lot of snow, it would be a Subaru SUV. Second choice would be Honda CRV AWD. Last choice would be a Jeep. If I'm going to be out in the snow, I want a vehicle that is dependable.

For the Chicago winters I have my 2013 Audi S4 with a set of winter wheels and Blizzaks, also have a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali. The S4 with the Blizzaks is simply amazing in the snow!!!

After having a few different vehicles for winter, hands down winner is a Subaru WRX STi. Locking diffs, power, adjustable driveline ratio, real AWD system, unbreakable transmission and comfortable.

Would go through snow drifts over the hood:

This came in second, quite fun in the snow:

Generally it's the Jeep Rubicon but the Jag and GTO do ventured out once in a while just to keep things lubed.

2012 Ram 2500 4x4 with Cummins.. that's about 100 ft out on the Missouri River, not sure how deep the water is beneath me, but the ice is about 17" thick.

Pirelli Sottezeros will be mounted before winter. Prior daily was a RWD 2013 Subaru BRZ, I had snows on that and it was great in the snow, so the GT-R should be even better.

I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee. Yes, the electronic shifter is a little "quirky", and you have to pay attention, when changing gears. And yes, a couple of "computer geeks" are claiming that today's computer controlled can be "hacked", and yes, they used a Jeep as an example, but I think that ANY car could be messed with, per their demonstration.

Having said that, my GC is equipped with the Off Road Adventure package, because I wanted a limited slip differential, for better snow traction. The only downside to this "off-road package", is that you have to also order either the diesel V-6 or Hemi V-8 engine, so just to get the LSD (and it also includes AWD), it gets expensive. But, with this set-up, and a set of Nokian WGR3 SUV tires, it's a BEAR in the snow.....

2008 c6 z51 with Pirelli snow tires. This has been my daily driver since new and I now have over a 100k miles on it...the car still looks brand new...

I just wash and quick wax it every week..

The car is amazing with snow tires....

I live in the NY metro area..

Last winter we had a storm that dropped 27 inches of snow in one day. The next day I was out driving in my corvette ..

I usually don't travel the day of a huge snow storm...over the years .,,,.no matter what car I have I tend to not travel the first day ...up until about ten years ago I would lease some boring daily driver etc...and I just decided....why bother I just don't need it...besides driving the day of the storm is ...z just asking for some idiot to slide into you...but the day after....I'm driving my corvette...and the car still looks mint...

I was just a corvette club event lady week and they couldn't believe that the car has never been repainted because it looked so good. FYI the cars never been repainted...I think it's that eagle one wax as you dry I use once a week after washing the car...

Then just buff it out with an griots orbital polisher twice a year using Adams products ...

Billy.,.that GTR looks awesome....let us know how you like it....

For the 1/8th of an inch of snow that we get every 4-5 years here in GA, I thought, "I better be prepared for next time." So I bought a Jeep Rubicon Unlimited.

Fwiw...if you really want a second vehicle...do a low mileage lease of some CUV....at www.legendleasing.com these guys are great...check out the details...they can't be beat and they deliver the cars right to your house....

Just change the oil and driver for 24 to 36 months...always under warranty is nice for a second vehicle...they are 30 percent less than every car dealer and they deliver the car right to house...no dealing....just pick your color and take their advertised packages as is.
