For the guys that get snow. What do you drive in it?

Thanks, I'm really loving it so far, I've put about 3,500 miles on it since April. I love how you use your C6 all-year in the this area, so awesome. I have the option to work from home, so I get to do the same when it snows, just wait a day for the roads to clear before going out. Or worst case, my fiance has a '12 Grand Cherokee, so we just take that if we need food.
I actually debated a C7 Z51 instead of the GT-R to use for the same purpose as a daily, but ultimately figured two Vettes would not be as much fun as getting the GT-R. I like going between cars and having a completely different experience. And the GT-R is completely different, but still extremely enjoyable at the same time. I will always need one manual car in the stable, but the DCT is actually pretty engaging and fun when you are driving hard. Plus, when I get on I84 and the traffic is stopped to the top of the on-ramp... well, let's say I curse less when I'm in the GT-R. The biggest shock is just how nice a cruiser this car is; the '15 has improved suspension comfort and noise insulation and it really shows. My reference point for luxury is fairly low if I'm being honest, lol, but to me it's like a Lexus when I'm just cruising around. Overall, very happy with my decision. Bring on the snow!

Daily drove in the west suburbs of Chicago a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 (6.1 Hemi) with Blizzack Tires for 6 summers and had no issues (but drove smart). I just replaced that with a 2016 Mustang GT 5.0 with Deep Impact Blue Paint and 6 speed manual trans. as my new daily driver. One week before that in early July this summer I traded in my weekend toy a 20009 Dodge Viper Coupe for a 2016 Laguna Blue C7 Z06 with A8 Trans. Thanks to Phantasm I was originally planning to daily drive my 2016 C7 Z06 since my business is only 5 minutes from my home but just could not stomach driving that sweet car in the winter after I bought it and just like my Viper I don't like the vette to even get rained on.
After trading in both my Viper and Challenger on the some same day and doing some soul searching that I realized that I get bored and fall out of love a lot quicker with a car that is your true daily driver (like my 2008 Challenger), and I decided not to torture my sweet new 2016 Mustang GT in the winter and picked up a clean 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with no rust as my new winter machine and vehicle that I just don't give a crap about if I get a door ding or it gets hailed on, and that's a nice change of pace to own something that still looks presentable but you just don't have to worry about or don't mind torturing in the snow and salt.

2010 Tacoma dbl cab 4x4. With the trd blower and smaller pulley, LT's, cat back, and cai it makes about 365hp at the crank. Does well in the snow and has a little bit of umph when passing. I think it's fast until getting in the 600hp C5.

We can just do this for your G-Wagon and call it a day.

Also probably a warmer rubber compound. They get a little cold and they won't grab ice at all.
For winter driving tires matter a LOT more than the vehicle. A FWD CUV with Blizzaks will destroy any Hummer/Jeep/Rover sitting on summer or even "all season" tires in any sort of snowy/icy driving.

This past winter I picked up a set of snow tires and wheels for my c6 and even though I drove all year with summer tires in the past....those snow tires made the c6 non stoppable this past year...
Tires make all the difference...it's a whole new world..

I bought a set of Nokian WGR3 SUV tires for my Grand Cherokee. Even though they're not dedicated snow tires, they ARE an aggressive "all weather" tire, as described by Nokian. They're "bad-azz" in snow, and not too bad on dry pavement.

1990 Volvo 240dl wagon with 4 Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires. I've had quite a few snow vehicles, and this is the best one yet for the cost. When your cruising a 4 lane road and your passing newer Tahoe, Suburban, F-150, Ram trucks or anything else someone paid big $$$ for....that's kinda funny. I don't deem it necessary to spend big cash on a winter ride. Accidents are alot more possible in sh*tty weather. This will be winter # 15 for it.
May not be everyone's thought, but it works for me.

2006 GMC Canyon Z71 crew cab offroad package 4WD. She's my baby
As soon as the snow stops falling and spring comes, I get under the truck with a hose, spray the entire thing, through the frame holes etc, rust/salt POURS out of the holes in the frame, everything here gets eaten by the salt, I do this roughly 4 times a year.
My moms 99 grand cherokee laredo was a BEAST in the snow, that car would go ANYWHERE on just normal street tires, a used jeep cherokee is a nice winter beater, still have heat too (my uncle drives the car now as his beater, putting 30k miles on it a year.
