Since I never drove it, the low mileage increased the Blue Book value above $26,500.

I couldn't even sell this damn Jeep for $22,000 in one year's time. Took it over to a local Jeep dealership and told them to take this off my hands.

Dumped it for $18,500.

I don't even know why I even bought a Jeep to begin with. Oh wait.....because it looked so bad-***!!

I'm actually surprised to hear this. I always thought Jeeps had great resale value. I shopped for one about 10 years ago when I moved to the city. I was amazed to find ones years older for not much less then brand new so I scrapped the idea thinking I could get a ~5 year old Jeep for my price range.

Your assumption on resale value is correct. That doesn't mean you can't come across a good deal from time to time.

I just booked my vacation for the week after Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. 4.21-4.28. Anybody here interested in tagging along? I'll probably take the Jeep and the vette.

My kiddo isn't loving the bouncy ride or the wind in her hair... JUST when I finish it and can enjoy!

As she sits now:

The more I drive mine the more I like it. It has the Alpine stereo system and is the best stereo I ever heard in any vehicle.

I have a 15 rubicon unlimited. Honestly it's the best DD I've ever had. Crappy roads, crappy weather and crappy drivers on the road and I don't care one iota. The wife kids and everyone loves it, on road, off road, top on, and top off. I have 12k miles on it and will probably drive it over 100k and then get another one. I've managed to keep it mostly stock because I'm afraid I will be tempted to trade it for the new wrangler 4 door truck version in '18 or '19.

Photo shows my other two cars in the background. The white Miata recently grew up to be a black 1991 ZR-1 though..... magically. Next up a c5 Z06, fd3s rx7 turbo or a Porsche 944 turbo..... jeep and ZR-1 stay. 78 might get sold.
