miata with a V8. I am going to take my C7 over there soon. It is a closed public road that you can get permits to run the car there at certain times. Do you think this is a good test for our cars? I sure do. Jess is reaching speeds of 120 MPH.

I'm an intermediate HPDE driver and I would not be inclined to push too hard on that course in my GS. The consequences of going off course there look pretty serious.

But it looks like a lot of fun for the experienced drivers.

Yes. I wouldn't nearly dive as hard as he does.

Your friend owns a "real race car". Your friend looks like a very well experienced driver and most likely races his Miata in an SCCA class or some type of sanctioned race organization.

While I think it would be "fun" in your C7, you best be an experienced driver to complete the road course in speeds that would deliver racing times.

I see no way an amateur driver even with a C7 will outperform your find in his Miata due to his experience.

Be sure to have insurance for personal injury, there are many steep drop offs on this road course if you find yourself in a situation that you cannot control the car.

Many times, once you lose control of a vehicle it is impossible to regain that control.

Have fun, be extra careful. Thanks for sharing the video, it was fun to watch. Your friend is an ultra good driver.

Wow! Not much room for error on that road. One little snafu can get your ticket punched, or possibly having you spend the rest of your life in a very uncomfortable predicament.
Looks fun, thanks for posting.

Looks like a blast as long as you are familiar with the road I would give it a shot.

Miatas are great handling, but underpowered cars. He solved that with the V8. What a great road to drive on. That looks like alot of fun.

Wow I'm salivating here....wouldn't think twice if an opportunity arose to run that course. Yeah, be careful for a few passes!
