I consider the new Ford GT one of those vehicles that, like Corvettes (I've had fourteen so far), and Honda Gold wings, look great in any color they offer.
But yes, your guess is correct, the liquid red is my pick.
All the Corvettes I ever ordered new were red. I like the Torch red over the Victory red, or any of the other reds. My sweet bride Ercie bought a Mercedes SL550 roadster (twin turbo V-8 with seven speed paddle shift) for me for my 80th birthday, and their name is Mars red, very similar to the Torch red on Ercie's Chevy pickup.
Cheers,
Eddie FourFather Hill

Crowd Plow For Now
Hey SteveA, both you with your 05 red/wht and me with my 05 blk/slvr were happy to get the car when we did as original owners. Why I love the heritage I saw it as a bird in hand was a sure bet and have been happy... Personally if I had the option for a future heritage - that's what I would do. Eddie already has his heritage LOL

I wanted the '06 Heritage but the Mrs said "who would ever buy that stupid looking blue and orange car when you're ready to sell it. LOL!. My guess is the '18 will be a red/white stripes like the '67 car.

If I have to give up my Heritage to get the new one, that will be a very tough call, but what an extreme blessing to be in that position, Thank you, Lord!!
Do you want to buy my "First in the Fours" top fuel dragster?
I'll throw in the tuneup and records book, some spares, and some 98% nitro-

I really WANT to order the new one, and have already started making plans to sell some of the cool toys I have been blessed with. If I can sell enough Ariel Atoms, my Ultima Can Am, drag boats, etc. to buy the new Ford GT without having to sell my '06 Ford GT Heritage, I will.

Having wrenched on (bottom end) Madness TFH for years and helped engineer and build Ron's firs few capsule boats you'd have a better chance selling me one of your old Hydro's. LOL!

Worked on many a Deaver hull. Nice ride! Didn't you race a Fine Line? I moved to N. Idaho from So Cal in '07 and nothing but big water fishing and pleasure boats up here.
Sorry for the thread highjack guys.

Love the GT, was shot down in the application process. The 05/06 came when other things were more interesting to me. Am looking forward to having a hand at the next American ME, hopefully the Zora gets made.

Before I put you in the car for a test drive, my insurance requires me to verify that you have a current Top Fuel driver's license, and a six-layer firesuit with a current SFI certification-
Also, your significant other may require verification that your life insurance and your personal fire insurance policies are paid up and current.
Ercie and I had to do some heavy lifting to get the dragster up on the stand, so you may have to help us lift it back down off the stand-
Cheers

This is quickly turning into the ballers' thread.

I applied for it and was rejected only remembering I had a buddy that could have helped get the approval after. Oh well.
That to me makes the car sting a little; it's like the girl that looks so good that you can't have. . . you just want to ignore her.
And no, I'm not buying used when people sit on it for a year then demand $650k+
