Formula for a 9 second 4550 pound Hellcat
#21
Fastest modified stock supercharger ones run 9.4 at 140+, no one has yet to take a 4.5 Lit supercharged one down the quarter...seems even Hellcat rears, and 1000 hp driveshafts aren't quite up to the punishment!

Because its takes thousands and thousands of more dollars $ to make a Hellcat or just about any car that starts off mostly stock from the factory to run 9.9s to 8.9s. To get into the 8s many many things would have to be swapped out for beefier/stronger major parts to transmissions to driveshafts, to half shafts, etc., etc. For $ you can get a Hellcat to run in the 7s if you have $50,000+ to flush down the toilet.

I'm talking apples to apple with regards to the platforms. If you add "go fast" parts like the Hellcat has of course the weight goes up. It's faster than an STS-V
If you compare the 2006 STS-V to the 2006 Chryser 300 SRT they are nearly identical on curb weight. The Platform they're running on is that old and Caddy has since changed IIRC so I'm not famliar with the newer Caddies.
Regardless though, 4 door saloons are commonly between 4000-4500lbs across all makes and models. The higher numbers usually being because of bigger engines, suspension and brakes or having AWD, or both as is the case of the Audi RS cars being 4500lbs, but you don't hear CF members bring that up. They always pick on Dodge.
