And of interest....

10.997 @128.87mph all stock (no tune, no aftermarket anything, stock tires)
According to torquenews.net this is the first purely stock Hellcat in the 10's and is currently the quickest one on record.

There are actually quite a few in the 10's with just tires at this point. Mine is still stock and I haven't run it yet but for a 4500lb sled it has some serious grunt.

I'm running it this Spring stock then swapping to a 309 rear end. I plan on leaving the rest stock for now because who doesn't want a 707 HP car under warranty? lol

Why is it so heavy? Is the cabin super insulated for sound deadening? Spare tire & jack? My Caddy weighs less.

The platform was meant for full sized four door cars like the Chrysler 300, that's why. In fact, the platform was intended to compete with Caddy STS not the CTS.

Go look at the curb weights of other cars with the same interior and exterior dimensions and they're all low to mid 4k.

This is why I'd never buy one. I'm a big fan of platform for what it was originally intended to do, carry 5 large adults around in comfort with 4 doors like the 300 and Magnum. Then they came out with the Charger and ultimately turned it into a 2 door "pony" car with the Challenger. It's still cool and all, but I'd rather have a smaller footprint like a CTS or a Mustang.

I had 2 SRT LX's.

very cool car. My friend has a Charger Hellcat he has sunk $3500 into and with drag radials it breaks into the 9's.

I was going to get a Z06 to track, but I am leaning more toward the new ZL1. I think the 10 Speed auto will be just as fast and the car will be more durable. Plus this place is run by some serious douchebags unlike other forums.

There is a video of an old lady clicking off consistent 9's in the 130's in an auto challenger hellcat with full exhaust, pulley, tune , a 373 gear, and DR's I'm sure somebody posted the video already.

Seems odd that a four door Caddy STSV would weigh less than a four door Dodge. My motor is all aluminum though. I guess that helps.

Freaking amazing what these large, heavy, refrigerators will run with minimal mods, very impressive!!!

If I did not previously own a 2008 Challenger SRT8 as my daily driver including all winter for 6 years on snow tires I would have a Hell Kitty in my garage, as its by far the best bang for the buck super FAST muscle car (Challenger) and 4 door Sedan (Charger) go fast sedan for the money $. However I got totally bored with that large body style on the same platform as the Chrysler 300, but probably in a year or 2 when they will be dropping in price more aggressively than they are now and I am not so bored with the Challenger Platform, I will probably pick up a Challenger Hellcat for $40K.

The Challenger ADR comes out in 2018. It is supposed to be set up from the factory as street legal but running in the 9's.

Now I know that's a huge claim, but everyone said a 700+HP Hellcat was a stretch before they released it as well. The suspension, tires, HP, and trans are all supposed to be optimized for drag racers. Guess we'll see.

I'm not as quick to call BS on this stuff from Dodge anymore based off of actually owning a Hellcat. It is an amazingly high performance heavy *** 4 door sled!

There have been some reports of supercharger issues and having to have them replaced for failure. I haven't had any issues but I haven't really "raced" mine hard much yet and its only at 3500 miles.

Probably a wise decision considering the mass amounts of crow that was served up when the official original Hellcat was announced!

Have you seen the Hellcat with the 4,5 Whipple yet?.1200 HP but worries about the A8 holding up under that...seems this is about the limit on the pistons though!

That's awesome, no doubt the the torque flight auto trans in the Hellcat is WAY stronger than the A8 tranny in the C7 Z06. My previously owned 2016 C7 Z's auto trans. took a complete dump with only 6,200 miles on the car and it was bone stock except for Corsa X Pipe!

I'd like to see more 8 and 7 sec hellcats, minimal mods to get 10s or less. How come very few are running 8 or less?
