Looks like the 2016/2017 COPO Camaro uses an LT1 based engine...

Wonder what may be available to apply to the street?

Looks like it has some LT4 parts.

Interesting that it looks like it's using the LT4 injectors. Guess it's not making more, or much more, power than am LT4.

Looks like it has 3 different motor options. They rated the LT1 block hp at 410 for NHRA, but hot rod says its actually over 600. It doesn't look like much from the standard LT1 remains.

Copo spec engine is WAY hotter than the one sitting in yours and mine.
The bare block and heads are probably the same, but everthing else is much different.
Read down the list of internal engine parts to get an idea.

The smaller bore of the LT1 based engine(vs the LS7 based engines), means having to have heads with smaller diameter valves.
I'm surprised that they didn't use the LS7 based engine but with a shorter stroke to get the 376 cu in displacement so they could use the big valve LS7 based heads that are direct injected(like what is used on the C7R 5.5L engines). The other two engine choices for the COPO Camaro are higher horsepower and they use the LS7 block.

Hey I think that thing has a catch can with blow off vent. Tadge says catch cans aren't needed. Others say the vent isn't needed and is just a road draft. Hmm.
